Will forever be my labour of love game. Coming from a massive Halo geek I will forever love the story line no matter how absolutely F***ed some of the back lore is. I've always enjoyed Halo ever since its first release in November 15th 0f 2001 to the present day. Multiplayer has always been a hit or miss as sometimes its relaxed and casual other times its extremely sweaty but still fun. Regardless playing with friends, enjoying the story, hitting multiplayer together or simply goofing off with customs its always a great time.

Lmfao so I actually downloaded this garbage on here just to do this review.

Would highly not recommend it this game. Valofe is desperately trying to bring back a dying game and its rather sad. This game is by official standards 12 Years old. For me though its technically 13 years old. I was one of the few lucky enough to try the Alpha test of 2007. This game hasn't been good or even worth while for many years. A lot of newer reviewers may judge this game based off what they see but you should know the backround history of this game.

Originally 2008-2010 Is probably when this game really saw potential. It wasn't hardcore P2W yet and most NX weapons were only reskins of GP variants sure they handled a little different but the Damage tables were equal. This bred a lot of equal competitive skill concepts to the field;however, Nexon got greedly slowly New weapons new gear came out and slowly the P2W side reared its head.

2010-2012 Was more of an interesting period the community faced the struggle dealing with massive hack waves that Nexon seemingly did nothing about despite claiming that they were taking action. The game was changing from what felt more natural competitive skill set to more who forks over more cash for P2W gear and weapons slowly a natural unbalance came to the game. During 2012 Combat Arms also released on steam only to later be removed about a year later maybe 2 as my memory on when it was removed is a little hazy but it didn't last long on steam.

2013-2017 This was a massive period where things rapidly declined for this game. The community was fed up and many people left. Nexon only cared about one thing making money and milking the average player dry. To give an example there used to be a NX Grade System.
Common ($0) Invested
Copper ($1-24) Invested
Bronze ($25-99) Invested
Silver ($100-499) Invested
Gold ($500-999) Invested
Platinum ($1000-4999) Invested
Diamond ($5000+) Invested
Your average CA player was Platinum and above. So that kind of tells you how quickly this game went P2W and Nexon loved the people for it. Don't believe me look for yourself find out how many reskins there are of the popular guns. Just from the top of my head I can name 8 Reskinned G36s, 7 M4A1s, and about 5 AK47s however theres so many more.

======Now heres where it gets important to clue into======
Although the Above is a brief sum and history because I could really say so much more. 2017-2020 Nexon finally sold Combat Arms to "Valofe" although there has been so many rumors I've heard regarding the Nexon Valofe relationship I aint much for no proof. So what I will say is Nexon got to the point sales were very low they milked the community for what they could but the player base was in heavy decline people were tired of the same crap. Valofe took over and players thought new company maybe things will get better. Boy were we wrong. Yes the game went through some overhauls but way too little too late. Nexons damage to this game was already done and most of the overhauls you won't even see unless your playing reloaded but that ♥♥♥♥ is more broken and unbalanced than one can imagine. Seriously 60% Damage Protection Vests with 15% Ignore Damage that can be enhanced GG. .

Anyways, Since Valofe took over both games Classic and Reloaded have had interesting changes. Seperate content for both games at times although Classic you'd be lucky to see 15-20 NA rooms but for the EU players well you might get more lucky. Classic is really declining and Valofe is doing all that they can to try and interest players to save there game its a very obvious ploy to make some money give new players random junk they think is good get them interested when they see veterans running around with nice skins they'll try the mystery boxes in hopes to get a gun perm an voila your caught in a gambling loop for really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ guns that will be nerfed then reskinned with better damage and remarketed in another case.

Think I'm lying about the above? Like I said this game has been around 13 years the very first default gun is the M16A3 with 27 Damage if I remember. Nexon came out with a Tiered system based on rank it gave a whole new default set. Professional, Veteran, Elite, and Champion. Valofe removed these sets which were Free btw based off your leveling. But about a month after removing them Valofe changed the stats and then tried to market each set for $100. You couldn't buy the items individually you could only buy the set which was. (An Note each set was $100 if you bought the Champion only you weren't getting the others)
M16A3 (Professional, Veteran, Elite, or Champion)
M92FS (Professional, Veteran, Elite, or Champion)
M9 (Professional, Veteran, Elite, or Champion)
Cap (Professional, Veteran, Elite, or Champion)
Backpack (Professional, Veteran, Elite, or Champion)

The sad part is this is only targetting their marketing so far. . Lets not even get started about Latency, People kicking you cause they're bad, Horrible Hitmarker registration, Constant bugs with logins and messenger. Honestly I've seen Indie game developers do a better job making games than what this game has turned out to be after 13 years. I would never recommend this game to anyone not even my worst enemy lol.

I actually really love this game for a strategy / FPS hybrid. It's quite interesting being able to play it like an RTS but also have specific movement and aim while controling a single unit in a First Person style. I would recommend this one to anyone although I do notice a few kinks when controling a unit but overall it's well done.
