It's Waiting: The Game. It's pretty to look at and there is some fun to be had but it's buried under tons, and tons of needless, boring waiting. You wait for the game to load, then you fast forward through boring dialogue with some random NPCs to get uninspired fetchquest, then you wait through unskipable cutscene of Regalia refuelling, you wait as Ignis drives you to your destination, then you walk pretty but empty landscape, maybe wait some time for the enviornment puzzle to move, kill five things in 30 seconds and do all the same waiting but in reverse. You can skip all optional quests and do only the main storyline but then it becomes apparent how many rewrites this game went through.

After all these years I finally gave in and bought it on sale for next to nothing and I still regret the purchase. It's boring and tedious and there are bugs on top of bugs on top of bugs. You fix one thing and two more problems pop up. I've spent too many hours trying different builds and mods to fix both gameplay and technical issues. If I hadn't spent so many hours fiddling with it I would have refunded it without a second thought.
