Terrible balance. Godawful ranked matchmaking. Aggressive monetization.

Let it die.

Alien is obviously a cool addition, but it's a fairly oppressive killer. Not fun to play against Xenomorph as a survivor because vaults and pallets are death sentences.

Cute world, but the combat isn't great and it takes a backseat to quirky dialogue.

Released unfinished, and now the devs are in a scramble to release basic crafting.
But hey at least microtransactions were fully implemented unlike key progression mechanics.

**Update**
Leaving my earlier bits, because it is what I was initially sold.
It has gotten better over time.

The tutorial is broken, the quickplay doesn't work, and you can just camp to delete players.
That being said, the gameplay isn't bad. The chases consist of weaving through slow downs and using doors and grappling hooks to swing around.

For a free game, I've seen worse, but it needs work.

Happy's Humble Burger Farm is a really fun singleplayer Fast-Food Horror Simulator that I absolutely think you should give a try. The story mode is a lot of fun, with great music, a unique setting and fun core gameplay loop of serving food while fending off horrific monsters. I would consider this my favorite horror game of 2021 tbh.

However, this game does have its issues though, with a few moments of wasted potential with boss fights, a lack of monster character representation, and Endless Mode that plays more like a sandbox mode. (Mild spoilers below)

The Salmon encounter had a huge wow factor, but there is nothing to it. Such a cool moment that almost felt like a waste because you just hold W. I also wish that each of the Barnyard Buds each had an in restaurant horror counterpart to spice up gameplay a bit more, because the generic enemies pose almost no threat.

My biggest criticism has to be the "Endless" Mode. I was hyped at the idea of the game throwing everything it had at me at once. The multiple forms of the Cow, maybe Charlie Chicken attacks the kitchen? Will I have to deal with the Farmer? No, it really is endless, but all you deal with is occasional generic enemies. I was hoping for a challenge mode that got harder and threw more and more at you. Imagine having the Pig boss spawn in as a side task. As it stands, I have been AFK for over five minutes in endless mode after intentionally messing up an order over 10 times, just to try and up the difficulty, only to find out that Endless mode is essentially sandbox mode with no threats. I feel like if the difficulty is properly increased, and has each and every enemy (and boss) added, endless mode could be a blast. Increasing difficulty (both in enemies, and orders) would make this a really fun time sink post game.

I really enjoyed this game, however, I think with a few tweaks and additions, the replayability of this game could skyrocket. It is absolutely worth the price tag imo, I only with the post game mode had more to it.

They admittedly released an unfinished DLC.
The Killer can have their power taken away by entering a locker.
The Killer can randomly lose their power by having their little twin glitch into the floor.
The Killer only has 2 out of 3 perks that even work.

This is extra frustrating because these were all problems in the Player Test Build, where these concerns were brought up, and they shipped a broken DLC anyway.

These are the same devs who nerfed the meta Killer perk Pop Goes The Weasel while simultaneously SELLING A BETTER ALTERNATIVE in Hex: Undying.

To them though, its all been a "Pretty good job so far!"™
Don't buy from these scumbags, take Mathieu Cote's advice and play a different game. It all gets worse from here.

Playing Temtem has made me realize how stagnant and unwilling to change the Pokemon series is. Temtem has improved on the monster catcher formula in almost EVERY way, from combat being fun, to even just quality of life things that make Temtem a smooth experience.

The focus on double battles makes for a more tactical and interesting feel. Each of the Tamer battles feel designed to be interesting and CHALLENGING. You will lose in this game, and thats okay. You may have to train a bit to proceed, or learn a new tactic to defeat difficult enemies. I cannot recommend this enough, I am currently 8 hours in and only JUST beat the first Dojo Leader, and cannot wait to see what else this gem will hold.
