As someone who dislikes jackbox games, this one is good for people who don't like the humor of the other games. I am a board game collector but more social style games I don't really resonate with much as I feel there are games with better strategy I would rather being playing at a given time. I wouldnt put the jackbox series games in the same pit as cards against humanity but it skirts the line and leads to my disinterest in the whole series. If you are like me but also just like having games for certain situations to have available on hand I would consider looking into some game play of this one.

I think the tone of this game feels less in the forced humor category and leans more into the gameplay. What it ask of the player is just what do they think other people think. No drawing, joke writing, or trivia. Just a big game of shouting at the tv like your watching family fued and the reveal of the answers is always fun and you feel like you learn more about your felow man. Granted the survey answers are going to lean towards people who would actually play a jackbox game, and some of the bottom answers get very nonsensical. Other cases like when a prompt gives an example word for clarity and it ends up being the top word, but depending on what gamemode you are playing the top word may not even be that important so i think the issue isn't the biggest of deals.

Coops quite a laugh and its the usual dodging fun. It has some learnable depth to it but if you recognize something from the original it wont act too differently. A great modern sequel to a classic game

Fun downhill racing game. I didn't experience any rubber banding. The simple mechanic of hitting objects and players for a boost feels rewarding and has some trickiness in the timing so it doesn't feel too easy. I always liked MT Wario in mario kart so not looping tracks are something I enjoy.

Supporting the devs and its not pay2win or something that splits the playerbase. completely optional cosmetics (with a lil work to get them but if your playing it wont be too intrusive)

Excellent feedback systems for puzzle solving. Makes it feel really rewarding

To elaborate a bit more on the mechanics there are multiple progression systems at play. You have exp towards your skill tree or cosmetics, exp toward that puzzle type for titles, exp for the world and its cosmetic tracks, and exp for a customization track. These combine for a nice show of progression after each completed puzzle no matter how minor.

The online mechanics are a bonus in my eyes. Sometimes you get lucky and see another player and can copy their solution on the pillar puzzles which I find charming personally. I don't feel spoiled cause the pool of puzzles is so large and I get to reap the bonuses. Its mostly the perspective puzzles and mazes that people can spoil but I've only focused that much on another player to see if they were solving something a handful of times.
Seeing other players on a puzzle then starting after them and finishing it before they back out of it is also provides satisfaction like you "beat them" but no ones really in competition.

The visuals are gorgeous

For completionist the game has puzzle dungeons as well as randomized puzzles. So the main island has random puzzles throughout, while there a themed puzzle dungeons that have static puzzles that you can work on with friends, and eventually complete the dungeon 100%. Some people had the idea that everything is randomized and there's no "completing the game" but you can 100% all the dungeons to your hearts content.

Excellent fps dueling game, fun gimmick with lots of variety. Best with friends of course and you can get cards playing in private matches so if you just want to play with a tight group you will get some progression which is nice. All and all a nice package for the price and would recommend it to people with friends to actually play with. I wouldnt buy it for the express purpose of having 1 v 1s as the cards may upset someone who is looking for a serious fps duel, it can be but card management is also important.
