It all begins with a dead girl...

For me, The Medium is a wonderful story-driven psychological horror game with a very unique but well done mechanic. The story kept me interested all the way through, with a few twists, some seen early on as piece together notes, and left with an ambiguous ending and opportunity for a sequel! For the "Horror/Scare" factor, it focuses on psychological and immersive horror, rather than say jump scares. The game also touches on some sensitive topics ( such as Child Abuse, Sexual Assault/Rape ), so keep that in mind.

The game-play is predominantly puzzle solving and walking sim as you progress through the story, with some stealth areas involved. They are not too challenging, and completing the game with all collectibles should be achievable in under 10 hrs if able to grab them all in a single play-through.

If these are all of interest to you, then definitely consider picking it up! Will note that it's relatively short, with little replay ability, which for me is fine as really enjoyed the story, but you decide if want to purchase the game full price or during a major sale.

You'll never look at a bucket the same way again... and at this point in time I feel we all could use one.

The game definitely adds a bit more to the base game, continuing to be satirical to many of the games and developers of today. For anyone that hasn't played the base game, I highly recommend picking up Ultra Deluxe as you'll essentially get two games in one with multiple endings (and for those have played the original, yes, the Broom Closet Ending was one of my favorites). If you've played the original already, the game will also you that early on so that you can get to the newer content faster, which is nice, while still being able to play through the original content again if you choose. Personally I really enjoyed it, and if you pick it up, have fun and remember, THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVE....

My introduction to gaming and was through Command & Conquer, particularly RA2. I than began playing through the other titles, Tiberium Sun and the original Command & Conquer and RA and definitely fell in love with the game and story. I was both excited and worried for the Remastered Collection as EA has a continued history of ruining game series and they had completely destroyed and spat at the legacy of the IP with past releases.

This game gave a spark of hope however, and was a true love letter to the original and the C&C community that keep the series alive. I applaud the work done with this game and I think a huge success to it was the major collaboration with the community and doing the complete remaster. Working with Petroglyph Games, the remnants of Westwood (original C&C developers), was a great connection and I feel they should be a part of any C&C release (remastered or otherwise). I look forward to and hope for a Tiberium Sun remastered in the same vein, and that if a new C&C game does ever get released (hopefully to retcon the C&C title we do not speak of), that its made with heavy consideration for and collaboration with the community and developers that have kept C&C and it's legacy alive.

I've been playing Warframe from very early on and for many years. It's amazing how much they've changed and adapted over time. The game has awesome customization and there is almost always something to do. While it's a major grind-fest at time, I'm not sure of any MMO isn't. While not necessarily for everyone, to me Warframe is a unique blend with very passionate developers that take pride and love in their game and constantly trying to improve and add to it. The best thing is that for all it's features and looks, it's completely free so give it a try!

If you enjoy a story-driven game that is homage to the classical horror and thriller themes (such as from writers like Steven King, or directors like Alfred Hitchcock), then suggest picking up Alan Wake. It's a game you will not be disappointed in!

It wasn't available for a time, but has come back so grab it now!!
