I absolutely recommend City of Gangsters. Rarely in recent years have I taken to a PC strat/management (with a hint of RPG) game so quickly - Ive already sunk over 100 hours into it (which is a lot for a guy like me in his early 40s with a full time job and family). The replayability factor is one of the big positives for me - every game is different as the campaign map is procedurally generated (ie: it's not the same Chicago each time you play), and I cant wait to see what additional systems the Devs add to this beautiful game. I hope the Devs release the Bootleg Bourbon DLC as a stand alone ASAP - will buy it the moment I can get my hands on it and regret not getting the Deluxe version. Cheers. 9.5 out of 10 for me.

I was really looking forward to the release of this game, having put many hours into PR2 and PR3 - was bitterly disappointed with PR4 & wish I could get a refund. There just doesn't seem to be that immersion factor present in previous titles. Yes, PR4 looks shiny/glossy, but it lacks elegant complexity the previous titles offer - it just doesnt grab me. Also, the The city hex system is not appealing, the 'zoom-in' from strategic to town view doesn't value add, and the drain on my rigg is not proportional for a trade/economy sim (not even high end simulator game generate the same level heat on my PC tower - and yes it is quite capable). Another thing, why I can't choose to have a male Pirate character is beyond me (is this some kind of woke appeasement - if so this is a massive fail - players should be given a choice to choose their style of play and gender). The only positive introduction is the turn based battle system - this has a lot of potential but is meh in its current state. Overall, I'd give this game a 3/10.
