Civilisations for the most part feel different to keep the game feeling fresh. Game play is great and a lot of good elements from past AoE titles are present making this game a great collaboration of past games. Siege pathing needs some work but otherwise the AI pathing is done very well.

The single-player feels more like a history lesson than a story-line so it doesn't really keep you engaged unfortunately but they do a great job teaching you the basics of AoE.

Overall its an amazing game as you can see by the amount of hours I've drained on it enjoying the massive online battles with friend and foe.

Maybe i'm one of the lucky ones but since launch I had no connection issues whatsoever so if you're reading reviews and see that i feel like that's few and far between.

I'm about 50 hours into the game and its been a great ride all the way. The leveling has been paced nicely other than between storylines (lvl 21-24) it was abit slow being able to really only job board missions and faction missions. This game defintely needs mounts and the fact that it doesn't from launch was super surprising.

Had a couple issues with the "you're leaving this event" glitch where it removes your pinned objectives but a quick log out and in fixes that.

All in all it is a great game that you can play solo, join up with friends or even speak in the chats and make new friends super easily making it an amazing game for everyone.

Highly recommend 9/10.
