My Review of Soulmask Early Access

Solo Game Perspective

After spending 30 hours playing Soulmask, I can confidently say that it’s a highly engaging survival game with a lot to offer.

Gameplay Mechanics
The complexity of the game is one of its strongest points. I enjoy spending hours building my base. Once your tribe starts farming materials and crafting building blocks, the process speeds up significantly, and the initial grind becomes much more manageable. I give the building mechanics and the crafting system an 10/10.

Combat System
The combat is impressive, especially for an Early Access game. I appreciate that you can unlock skills on weapons as you level up, adding depth to the combat system. The variety of weapons is good, with the spear being my favorite at the moment. I rate the combat a solid 7/10.

Tribe Management
Managing your tribe might feel similar to RimWorld, which I find quite engaging. Recruiting and managing tribe members is very fun, and this aspect of the game earns a 9/10 from me. The tribe management system works well, but I’m looking forward to potential future improvements in the AI as it has some issues.

Graphics and Atmosphere
The graphics and atmosphere are beautiful, creating an immersive environment that enhances the overall experience. I rate this aspect 9/10.

Community and Development
The developers are responsive to community feedback, which is a significant plus.

Conclusion
Soulmask is an enjoyable and promising game, especially in its building, crafting, and tribe management systems. I look forward to seeing how it evolves and would recommend it to fellow survival game enthusiasts.

The game has a lot to offer, and I’m excited to continue playing and exploring its possibilities.

Having completed all available content in the early access, I must express my satisfaction with the enjoyable experience it provides, which I believe will gradually evolve into a solid game. Nonetheless, certain issues require attention, but purchasing it now will provide a satisfying 20 hours of gameplay from beginning to end. In addition, the time devoted to constructing your tree-top abode will also add to the gameplay hours.

Dont have anything other then "typical asian MMO". some like it. i dont.

They should have turned off Wars right away when the lag exploit was found.
They definitely should have turned it off when the invulnerability cheat was found.
They still didn’t turn it off when their 1.03 patch didn’t fix the invulnerability cheat.
They did take action on the gold duplication by turning off transfers but still no sign of any bans having gone out.

We’re well past mere bans. Legitimate players deserve compensation.
I want to see proof that bans happened – counts of accounts banned, lists of account names.

Never trust anyone!!!

Remind me in 1 year!!

Released as full game, but feels and plays like a early access.

Will revisit the game in a year to see if progress has been made.
