Masterpiece

This game, the Devs and the community are top-tier, amazing work

PROS:
-Warhammer 40k
-"Free"
- Voice lines are great - you cant BM with Tyranid faction *thunderous bellow*
- Artwork and lots of adherence to lore
- Campaigns give you lots to work towards
- 1 free draft a day (reduced reward from premium)
- Global chat has a translate option that allows you to easily talk to the extra large amount of Russians this game has
- Upgrading cards is cool imo, at first (purely cosmetic)
- Can play against bots to do daily missions so you can learn, earn and build your cardbase without having to interact with the competitive crowd that will almost entirely only play what is brokenly OP
- Community is almost entirely friendly
- Mobile access (seems to be made for phone)

CONS:
- ~6 years of the predecessor; Horus Heresy: Legions, taught the dev nothing, or more likely they play dumb to justify "Early Access" label
- Yet another "Early Access" game that doesn't deserve the label, this time however the game is quite polished but it hides behind the many yet to be released factions and balance issues despite launching with a fully furbished store that shoves unremovable notifications in your face for "special deals" every few days.
- MTX/ prices are gross, cosmetic store was eventually removed, but dev launched the game in EA with 50USD fugly cardbacks and other nothingburger cosmetics
- Campaign is soulless and if you don't pay IRL money for the premium most rewards you collect showcase what you could also have gained if you'd spent some cash
- Playing draft is painful, the lack of balance shows, the amount of RNG shows and the rewards show the dev is trying to milk you, you get 1 free draft a day (with reduced rewards) and despite costing 5 blackstone for premium draft, blackstone is rare unless you pay money or grind a lot and a successful and max 12 wins (premium) will reward you with a pittance of currency and specifically an insulting 4 blackstone reward, predatory
- Upgrading cards gets you to a point where you cant go further and every card you unpack that you have max upgraded serves no purpose but to fill out packs for no reward, very dumb and in HHL you would always earn some commiseration currency from repeats, dev knows better, rip off
- This game could be way better but they want to milk you and draw it out as long as possible so they can then Legacy the cardbase down the track and re-sell/force you to grind all over again when they want more money, just like what they are still doing to HHL

There is surely more stuff but figured i'd let you know what you're looking at getting into, play this game only if you are interested in/love 40k and most importantly are willing to play F2P, not worth it outside of that imo and i would not recommend this game to a friend IRL so its the same here, thanks for the game but get rekt greedlords

Epic and fun gameplay, everything outside of it is designed to make you salty and have to grind more, weird combo, wouldn't recommend it to anyone i know IRL bc they have lives but if you're into Warhammer and love a good hack and slash come play, i WILL look down on you
