It's alright for the price but if I'm being honest, it plays and looks like something you'd find on Roblox. You go into an area, fight monsters until you're strong enough for the next area and then fight more monsters. Despite how big the map looks in the screen shots you're just clicking on that area on the map and playing in a small part of it, after you beat that area you do the same thing with the next area. The game does have a skill tree and crafting which is nice so you have pretty good control of how you want to play but unlike other "Vampire Survivor" type games, this one lacks individuality and feels generic.

TL;DR - You might as well just play Roblox.

Early Access Review
I'm twelve hours in and I'm glued. The game is absolutely gorgeous with breathtaking visuals and scenery (holy hell the cut scenes!). Seeing how much the world changes depending on the time of day and weather is so awesome, I've literally fought a boss till sunrise and it's so dang cool! The world is so much bigger than I thought it would be in this stage, there is so much exploration and layers to uncover with hidden paths, items, and enemies. A lot of the times you explore off the beaten path you'll almost always find something so it's rewarding to just look around. The enemies in the world can change too, so every day in this game could feel different despite revisiting the same area, some areas even change depending on a quest you have accepted. Super happy with how much is available in Early Access. The gameplay is exactly what I was hoping for when seeing the trailer, a souls-like/diablo game but it also has survival elements like crafting, gathering, building, fishing, decorating and honestly the game gives me a bit of Fable vibes which was a very pleasant surprise.

I think the only gripe I've had so far is some QoL stuff that could be implemented in some areas (I'd love to preview a house before I buy it), some intense fights sometimes don't have music (though I'm sure that will change - Example: Fought this cool enemy in the War Room but there was no bgm even though the fight was actually a nice challenge). I'll admit, I also experience some performance issues here and there but for the most part the game has been very enjoyable in my current Early Access experience. I'm really looking forward to helping these devs shape this game into something even more incredible than what it already is!

I love you Moon Studios😇

I haven't beaten the game yet but it's fun and I've been having a great time so far, kinda reminds me of borderlands.

Edit after beating the game:
TL;DR - The story might not be great, but the gameplay sure is.

I know a lot of people aren't a fan of this game's story and I one hundred percent understand where they are coming from and if I'm being totally honest, even after "beating the game" there wasn't really a feeling of satisfaction.

So why am I still giving this a positive review?
The gameplay is definitely the game's strongest point. Exploring Metropolis is really fun, the city has a lot of great detail and is nice to look at, seeing how much it changes as you progress through the game is actually pretty cool and I love how fluid the movement and combat is, although it definitely took a bit to get used to, it's so satisfying once it clicks. If you dislike the story you MIGHT enjoy the game for the gameplay alone.

When it came to the story there were moments where I was like, "meh", but there were also moments that I did genuinely find enjoyable and funny. The character banter can be interesting to listen to (when it isn't playing at the same time as the radio chatter) and a lot of the time I wanted to hear what they had to say to each other.

I think my biggest complaint in the game so far has been some of the support missions because they ask you to kill enemies a certain way and it can be fun but also frustrating at times, like one support mission you can use a flying car and go nuts on enemies and then another will be like "only grenades deal damage to enemies" and the grenades just aren't dropping. Luckily you can kill enemies however you want outside of support missions.

The end game loop is like most games with a live service approach, you pretty much repeat doing the endgame content, gearing up and getting stronger until the next update arrives. So far the end game consists of doing missions to raise your world level and increasing difficulty to get better rewards while trying to gear up your characters to make them stronger, kind of similar to Diablo with torment levels and Borderlands with mayhem levels. If you like those types of end game loops you might like this ones as well.

I'm looking forward to how they'll handle the seasons for the game, (END OF GAME SPOILERS): since the story doesn't really end when you "beat the game" and continues through seasonal content, it's still possible for the story to improve (fingers crossed). I think the fact that they'll be adding more playable characters in the future is a pretty big draw and I'm hoping the game just get's even more fun when Season 1 starts.

I don't know what the problem is with the game when I run it on Steam but when I try to play it through Steam it will crash constantly every ten minutes or so, the overlay is disabled, the settings are the same as if I were to play it through Ubisoft Connect, I have no idea what the problem is with The Division 2 and Steam but when I run the game through Ubisoft Connect everything is fine. I haven't crashed yet while playing through Ubisoft so it's a weird problem.

I'm genuinely enjoying the time I'm having with the game but I wouldn't recommend getting the game through Steam until the issue can be figured out.

Edit: Alright, I do crash on Ubisoft's launcher every now and then but not as frequently as on Steam.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this game so much. Very cute and very fun. Sometimes the license challenges want me to punch a hole through my monitor because of how perfect you have to be but it is a blast.

For some reason it makes me wish Drift City would be remade :']

It isn't that bad, the art and animations are surprisingly good, wasn't expecting voice acting in a lot of the quests so that's pretty cool. I know this is a mobile game but I wish it had an option for a more "PC" type of HUD for when you're playing the game on PC. A big turn off for me with the game is the auto-play function, yes you can turn it off but it would be cool to have a server where it's disabled at all times so it doesn't feel like I'm playing with bots all around me. When an auto-play function is in a game you pretty much don't feel like you're playing with real people even though you see them all around you.

This is another case of wishing steam had the middle ground option between Yes and No because I don't think it's bad enough to not recommend but also don't think it's good enough to recommend so give it a shot yourself and see if it's for you.

One of the best current MMOs in my opinion, hopefully it grows even more now that it's on steam :D

idk anything about star wars but the gameplay is really fun and the choices you get to make in quests is honestly my favourite thing about this game
