Frostpunk with simpler and more addictive game loop. Like crack cocaine to me. I enjoyed this title very much. I finished this in 4 consecutive 8-12h sessions :D Gotta cure them all!

I started playing after patch #7, still a somewhat buggy and lacks a bit polish (very much playable). Not all the game mechanics fit together perfectly. I do hope they still apply a bit love to this game. Scouting was for most parts unnecessary. I for one didn't much care about the backgrounds of patients, just tried to cure as many as possible. Well, I guess they add to immersion.

I come from Jagged Alliance 1 & 2 and I have waited for a true sequel for ages. Sequels until now weren't that good and I almost gave up waiting. I was skeptic about this one too. Fortunately this I would say is a true sequel for JA 2. I recommend this title.

They have streamlined this a bit, not as much as Firaxis has streamlined XCOM. And those new XCOMs were a joy to play still. Aiming without percentages.. at first it was a shock but yeah, that is how it used to work in JA 2 as well. One gets the hang of it pretty fast. The old humour is there, the sectors are full of events and details like they were in the good old days.

The graphics are good, only the cut scenes are a bit clumsy. Perhaps the latter is intentional, it kinda goes with the good 'ol JA humour. The old mercs are back and the new ones feel native to the game as well. Everyone has their own personality and a lot of unique dialog to match.

There is a lot of ground to cover with your mercs. I'm 20h deep to the game at this point, and I control mere 20% of the map. Side activities, the pressure from counter attacks and depleting diamond mines keep the player very busy. I think this all scales really well.

Content wise so far only one tiny criticism, creating your own custom merc is still there. Which is important. But the customization options are really thin. The skills and perks are there. But no options for voice/personality and only a few portraits to choose from.

Definite yes from me. It is Frostpunk in space like stated by many. A bit more micromanagement involved with transferring resources and manpower between sectors in comparison to Frostpunk. The story is good with all the humor and scifi elements. Graphics are very pleasant to look at.

Replayability comes from learning the game mechanics and optimizing the run once you get the jist on everything. As far as I can tell, there is no random elements to the game. Each choice and their outcome as well as locations are the same on each playthrough.

The game offers fair amount of challenge but I never felt that it was impossible to recover from any mistake. Some resources are finite, seems that there are enough to go around still. Dismantling a building yields all the resources you put into it, and this you will be doing quite a lot... Mainly by unlocking new tech and correcting one's mistakes.

I think I'm about half way through the game at the time writing this. And this is my second stab at trying to beat the game. So far I'm having a lot of fun.

Absolutely love this game. Steep learning curve, yet so rewarding. Fun to see construction offices, farms and road maintenance vehicles just spring into life. Fun to see one's citizens freeze and spring into... death.... I made all that happen, there is no easy mode. Love the road map.

Yep, this is the new Theme Hospital. That is why I bought and if that is what you are looking for, you are safe.

Nice and simple. Great gore effects. Team play is a must, goofy teammates will get you and everyone else killed. And the sound track, wow, superb athmosphere :P

It is an ages old engine and there are plenty of excellent free mods out there. But the detail and polish they have put on this is just amazing. 15€ is a fair price for it. There is so much to do and experience.

Even with 1.03 there are plenty of bugs, no crashes and no game-breaking ones that I know of. But it is very much playable and enjoyable! And they seem to be committed to sort the remainding bugs out.
