The hype is real. This little beauty of a title is both fun, addictive and comes at a steal of a price. People can be wary when streamers, youtubers etc recommend a product at times, but Vampire Survivors in my opinion deserves all the hype.

It is a rogue like / castlevania inspired, pixel art, screen scrolling affair that at first glance looks like a basic and throw away game. However, once you start playing you will find it strangely addictive... always trying to play it "one more time" in order to beat your previous time / score. Each run you get different power ups and weapons that drop that improve the strength and fire power of your character.

Plenty of characters to unlock, each with their own abilities / characteristics that make each one feel unique and have their own play style. Plenty of options to unlock at the end of each run, assuming you have picked up enough gold coins to purchase.

The devs are constantly adding new content and weapons to the game as well as additional maps. The down sides? The old school pixel art may not appeal to everyone, but I can easily overlook this as I believe it adds to the appeal of the game.

Now in release 1.0 this game is even better now, with more maps, more weapons, more monsters, more items etc etc. What more can you want? And more to the point, why aren't you playing this game right now? XD

Rating : 9.2/10 awesome fun and value, plenty of re-playability.
