It is a wet dream for every Gothic fan.

Good RPG.

Great roguelite with a great storyline, well-described characters, dialogues and comic-book graphics. Levels and enemies are very interesting and well designed. Bosses are a challenge at the beginning and when we get to know their patterns and they are not a problem, we can come across their different varieties. Very interesting system of getting and upgrading weapons. Challenging system increases the difficulty level of the late game. Very large selection of builds and bonuses as well as to care for our home. The game takes a lot of time to unlock all upgrades, achievements, secrets and threads. MUST HAVE if you are a roguelite games fan.

This "game" takes around 5 hours of killing monsters ... Story and quests mostly do not exist and are disapointing. This should be included in Arcania..... Dont bother buying/playing this game if you dislike Arcania. Not worth its price.

If you are looking for a continuation of the good, old, difficult Gothic (like I was), then I definitely do not recommend you this game. The game was enjoyable for about 10 hours, but the level of difficulty even on Nightmare is far too low. Character and monster models are good, especially the Swampshark (my favorite). The plot doesn't knock you off your feet, neither do the poorly written characters. In the 32 hours I spent in the game, the first 10 were the most interesting. Ever since I left the city on the swamp, my enjoyment kept going downhill. The game started to get boring and I stopped caring about the plot. I simply got tired of it. There are plenty of underdeveloped and ill-considered game mechanics here. The most disappointing ones for me was the lack of ingredients to craft an armor piece (there litteraly wasn't enough silk in the game world to craft it!) and the fact that it was impossible to buy crossbow bolts, which made their numbers very limited, while arrows were absolutely abundant. To sum up, in my opinion this is a mediocre hack and slash set in the world of Gothic with a very low difficulty level, even when it's set to Nightmare, with average plot and poorly written characters.

Hard, fun and addictive.
