As a huge fan of the first Blasphemous, this game delivers as an excellent and memorable sequel. The introduction of new weapons and the cycling between them for different uses is awesome to use. The art and animation of literally anything in this game is concise and beautiful to look at. Every location and scene could easily be a wallpaper.
Only complaint I have are the key items and when and where to use them. A majority of them were straight forward, but a few left me stumped no matter how many times I read the lore and backtracked. Only to be saddened when I got curious enough to look up the uses to find out I was far past the point of the game I could've used them. I feel like I missed out on a lot the game could've showed me, but overall I had an absolute blast the entire time. If they end up doing DLC or even another game entirely, I'd love to purchase it.

DRG has become not only one of my favorite PvE shooters, it's become one of my favorite games of all time. I've been with DRG a little after it released and have enjoyed it all throughout the last few years. Every major update was new and exciting to play, and the game really never gets old because of the randomly generated caves. One of the coolest aspects of the game is certain little side events that can randomly appear in the caves, and there can be multiple at a time. It really adds to the constant replayability. I've found myself quoting the dwarves dialogue quite often just because of how funny it is. Assignments, challenges, cosmetic trees, deep dives, there's so much to do and the best part is it's all fun to do, whether with close friends, randoms, and even alone. I love the guns and equipment compliments numerous play styles, as well as each class having a distinct purpose and all very useful guns. All in all, definitely an amazing game led by a hard working and passionate company! I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

An absolute gem from start to finish. It scratches every itch an exciting shooter can be, as well as excelling in map exploration, story-telling, art direction, and even horror aspects. The tone of the game is perfect, from exploring abandoned mine shafts and asylums on to underground basements filled with horrors beyond the human realm. I especially enjoyed the tense atmosphere whenever it seemed the game was being too quiet, finding myself slow down and check my corners to frantically unloading whatever gun I was holding onto any chainsaw-branding lunatic I saw.
The maps and exploration were very fun. Having a variety of environments means tons of secrets and puzzles and I loved figuring them out to be rewarded with guns or upgrade parts. The art direction was surprisingly very good! I remember the demo having a very samey color palette, but upon playing more levels I began loving the style more and more. The combat is so smooth and satisfying, especially when it does that slow-mo effect. I can't tell you how many times I threw a lit dynamite bundle toward a huge group of cult members and watching their giblets flying all over, it never got old! I also liked the world building with all the little notes, each having their own perspective of how this all started and reading the progression of ♥♥♥♥ hitting the fan, very charming.
I also can't believe this is only chapter 1, there's a lot to this game! Even if it seems short, I never lost interest and the amount of effort the developer put into this project is well worth the price. I can't wait to see more!

Wadjet Eye Games and Wormwood Studios bring another puzzle infused point and click adventure, and it's pretty damn good. I have only played one of their previous releases, Primordia, which was insanely good. I was actually notified by the developer after I reviewed it of Strangeland's close release, and had high hopes. And those hopes were met incredibly well, and makes me want to try their other games as well.
Strangeland takes a hit at what seems to be a man's mental downfall into his own mind, and even dying can't bring him out. Cryptic riddles and dialogue are all over this game, which would be much more annoying if the game was longer. However, since the average time seems to be 5-7 hours, I got used to it and began to pick up on exactly what was happening without being totally clueless. The biggest aspect I absolutely LOVE from this game is the art style. As a lover of pixel art, Strangeland knocks the ball out of the park with the art. From complicated backgrounds and even surprisingly detailed faces to even just weird hallucinogenic-like pieces, I always just found myself stopping in awe with how beautiful the game looks. The detail and art style honestly rivals Blasphemous, another insanely beautiful pixel game.
Puzzles were not too difficult and I liked the hint aspect people can use if they get too lost. Every time I solved a puzzle, continuation felt rewarding. The voice acting was also excellent. I immediately recognized Abe Goldfarb's voice (he voiced Crispin in Primordia), and he and everyone else involved really gave the game it's own charm. The characters, messaging, music, and dialogue are all there.
All in all Strangeland delivers a standout and memorable point and click adventure with gorgeous art, interesting dialogue, and satisfying puzzles. Fully recommended.

What an experience.
Nier:Automata has to be one of the most unique and exciting games out there. Almost every turn had me surprised and in awe of what was taking place. The story had me gripped the entire time, and even after getting all the crucial endings, there is still much more to this game I have never seen.
Almost everything NieR:Automata offers is genuinely amazing, from combat aspects and movement to plot, characters, voice acting, and animation. The music, my god, the MUSIC! I've been listening to OST on Spotify so much, the battle themes and general atmospheric songs are perfect. Another thing is this game has massive replay ability, in fact it's a necessity to play it multiple times to get the full experience. With 26 endings (5 being crucial), there are all kinds of secrets of exploration and choices one could make to get any of the endings. What makes it better is that the base game isn't incredibly long so playing it several times doesn't take nearly as long as I first thought.
All in all, a fantastic game from start to finish. The dark emotional themes along with tight and fun combat make NeiR:Automata a very memorable experience. And after that final ending, I'll be back to do it all again. Best regards from Albatross[Redo]!

A fantastic suspenseful third-person shooter that was engaging from start to finish. There were so many memorable moments this game had to offer, along with a decent amount of surprises. Great game play from the first game only polished much more, paired up with intense fights at almost every dark foreboding hallway. One thing I love especially is the variety of enemies there are, only adding to the stressful yet satisfying battles. Playing this on Normal, I got through most of the fights no problem (as I don't get scared often), but several moments really had me actually panicking upon being swarmed by enemies from all angles.
Another thing I must commend is the sense of dread DS2 held. It's not often I get uncomfortable with games, but as the chapters progressed, I couldn't take my eyes off how much ♥♥♥♥ was going down. There are 15 chapters, and towards the last five were where my fear was at an all time high. To top it all off, the ending was phenomenally harrowing.
All in all, Dead Space 2 is one of the most suspenseful thriller sequels I've played. Fearsome enemies, powerful and fun to use weapons, a creepy and stressful story, and satisfyingly violent.

Among Us is a great little game that blew up around the middle of 2020 for some reason. I even remember seeing people start talking about it then and even now in 2021 it's still going strong. Gameplay-wise, I find it to be a fun game to waste a good hour on if you want to do some mindless minigames. Each one is a cool little puzzle or something simple like buying a soda from a vending machine. Each minigame contributes to the taskbar which is made to be completed before everyone dies via imposter.
Honestly the game is good for some mindless fun, especially with a group of friends.

A wonderful source mod that delivers a fantastic western shoot-em-up. The core game normally consists of either a 4 team or a 2 team death match, and there are other custom game modes like Zombies. After picking a side, you get to choose from a wide variety of starter revolvers and rifles. Most of these are very powerful in the right hands, but in every map there are three kinds of boxes: blue, red and gold, which hold much more powerful weapons at your disposal like shotguns and sniper rifles. In the past, you earned money by killing enemies with the starter weapons, and you used said money to buy the weapons in the boxes. However, that entire system has since been removed and you can just grab whatever you want. Personally, I really enjoyed the money system and I hope they put it back in.

Gameplay wise this is a very solid game. The gunplay consists on a movement aiming system very similar to CS:GO. Standing still or walking increases your aim, but there are other strategies like side-stepping, which works the best personally. The guns are all fun to use and dual wielding revolvers never gets old. The maps are designed incredibly well and are always fun to learn the layout of. To top it off, it's completely free, so if you love shooters I'd definitely try this one out.

Pass the whiskey, whiskey, whiskey, wine, wine, whiskey.

One of the greatest underrated gems of the point and click genre. Taking control of Horatio, a stranded robot just living out his life with his sidekick Crispin in a crash-landed ship, you find yourself getting robbed of the only power source of your home by a murderous robot. In order to survive and take back what's yours, Horatio and Crispin venture out into the unknown to recover the precious power core, using any and all salvage, scrap, and determination they can find. Who knows what awaits them in the Dunes, or worse.

Primordia is a fantastic story driven game. It was the one thing that kept me going whenever I got stumped by one of its many puzzles. A very cool factor is that most puzzles can have multiple outcomes, determining on what items you use, characters that help you, and all together choices you make. The ability to make friends or enemies depends on you. And speaking of friends, the characters, along with the whole world, are expertly designed and especially memorable. Each conversation is uniquely voiced out and each robot has their own traits that make them important and interesting. It was always fun to talk to every robot that came across my path, even when some just sounded like a corrupted printer from two decades ago. Pair that up with the bleak and vast world of the Dunes and Metropol, and it's a perfect match that kept me engaged to explore every pixel of this game.

The puzzles are equally interesting. You got your usual point and click style to solving these puzzles with using items, combining several items, destroying and creating certain items using tools, etc. Each puzzle is unique and as said before, can have different outcomes depending who or what you use. This is especially important on the multiple endings.

All in all, Primordia is an excellent game. Everything about it drew me in and kept me wanting more. A truly wonderful experience from beginning to end.

As a fan of shooters, this was a bit of an oddball at first. Hunt: Showdown was tough to get used to, as I first bought the game over a year ago when it was out in early access. However, Crytek has done a phenomenal job improving, updating, and making H:S one of the most intense, as well as the most realistic, survival horror shooters out there. The amount of great change I've seen to make H:S better is awe-inspiring to say the least. Fair warning, H:S is a very skilled game, with a plethora of guns, tools, and enemies that can bring so much variety to each game one plays. A couple huge factors in H:S is Accuracy and Stealth. Knowing when to be loud and when to be silent will give players the greatest advantages, and being aware of your surroundings is a necessity, as there are birds and enemies that can alert other players of your location. All of the individual elements (and genres) tie extremely nicely to a well structured game.
Honestly, being with a party of three is the most fun, especially with friends, but I also find a huge amount of fun in the quick play which was added recently. Both modes are very fun in their own unique ways. The hardest thing I found to get used to is the gun play, as the controls are a little weird at times, and all of the guns have specific fire rates, damages, penetration, reload speed, and even some have specific uses to taking out certain enemies/bosses. Also, the lore is well detailed and interesting to read, and I'm all about that.
All in all, Hunt: Showdown is an excellent tactical horror shooter that I feel isn't talked about much. It scratches all the itches I wanted, and really got my heart pounding as most rounds get nerve-wracking in the end, especially in the quick play.
