I just finished the game and I really enjoyed it.
I understand now why there are many bad reviews. The sequel has a change of style. Don't be afraid 2 has more puzzles and it feels like an escape room kind of game. The atmosphere is great but if I am to be honest, I enjoyed the first game more than the second one.
Nonetheless, Don't be afraid 2 is a great game, the story is interesting. The ending may lead to a third entry in the series. If they will make another one, I hope they will return to the first game's style

Got to play it in the early access and I am not disappointed. The game feels fresh and I totally love Max's new power.
The story is awesome and intriguing. The cliffhanger at the end of chapter 2...♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I can't wait 2 more weeks xD
The new characters are well-written and I missed playing as Max. I'm glad we got the chance to play again as her.
The music is genius. Typical LiS games.
I am looking forward to playing the rest of the game at the end of the month.
LET'S GET THE PARTY STARTED, SHAKA BRAH !

I am a huge fan of the original game and I still can't believe I'm playing this beautiful remake. It feels like I am playing the game again for the first time. I'm taking my time exploring and be amazed by the views, by the atmosphere, story etc. This is how a remake is supposed to be made. I am a big fan of Bloober team, I love their games (especially The Medium) and I had a lot of faith in them since they announced they will be behind the remake of SH2.
A tough job for a studio whose games aren't liked by many people and there was a lot of hate. I can assure you that the hate is a big NONSENSE. Bloober Team delivered with style
The remake of a classic masterpiece is...A MASTERPIECE. I know it sounds weird but it is the truth.
Everything is on point : the gameplay, the atmoshphere, the visuals.
The music by Akira Yamaoka is as always...breathtaking. How can you make a classic game's soundtrack better ? Well ask him because he upped the game. I thought the OG's music was perfect but this gentleman made it more perfect.
I don't regret pre-ordering it and got the early access. It is worth every penny. Guys, just get it. You won't regret it, trust me.
P.S Promise's new version slaps hard.

The Suicide of Rachel Foster is one of the best games I have ever played. Some of you may say that I am giving it too much credit but I don't think that's the case. I have it on GOG too and played it lots of times.

Let's start with the story. I won't say anything about it because otherwise I would risk spoiling it for you. I will say just that the way how it develops is...so freaking cool. It has some sick twists.
The atmosphere is sick. You feel like you are there in the hotel and to be honest with you, the fact that the tension is growing more and more it makes you go crazy. I was on the edge of my seat the entire playthrough. Trust me, there are some parts where is scary.

The game looks breathtaking. It's one of the best looking games I've played. I had a lot of joy walking through all the hotel. The only bad part about it is that more than half of the hotel isn't used in the story. I mean, you can roam wherever you want but the story won't get you through most of the rooms/offices.

The characters are cool and I like the chemistry between them, That's all I am going to say.
Gameplay-wise, there isn't anything out of the ordinary. Walking and examining objects.

I really recommend this game. I hope we will get something similar sometime in the future from the team.

This game is a very fascinating piece of an art. Almost as if in parallel universe Nietzsche went for a beer with Monty Python guys and during the heavy drinking and brainstorming they'd decided to churn out this. Don't get fooled though, this game also manages to carry out some very strong moments.

It really gets addictive with every minute you play it. The story is original. The developers took the Religion matter on a whole new level and I love it. It was a bold move. They took a risk and they delivered a fantastic game.

The characters are well-written. The voice acting is top tier. I love the interactions between Indika and the Devil. His lines are funny as hell... See what I did there ?

The puzzles/mini-games are inspired by the old arcade games we used to play a looong time ago. I saw that a lot of people weren't so happy about them. Me, personally, I liked them a lot.

The soundtrack is brilliant. The music is a mix of drama and that specific arcade games music.

I had a lot of fun with this game. I think the developers were on some good stuff while they were making it but the final product is GENIUS. A must-play for every gamer. Looking forward to seeing more games from the team.

SOMA is that kind of game which will stick with you for the rest of your life. Why do I say that ? Let me tell you why :

SOMA is an ambitious, cerebral and well crafted sci-fi horror-adventure with a story that buries a secret underwater, beneath the ocean. The first few minutes may seem kinda "hmm, I wonder where is all of this going ?" but after the SCAN (gonna use just that so I won't spoil anything), the fun begins.

The game itself is complex and dark. The detailed world, the marvelous background design (visually it's amazing), the tension and oppressive atmosphere alongside the pulsating music, creepy and solid sound effects makes you stay on the edge of your seat during the whole playthrough. I was on alert mode the entire game especially during the encounters with certain enemies.

The voice acting is top tier, chapeau bas to the actors behind the characters. The interaction between Simon and Cath felt so real. Also on a side note, as a gamer who likes to explore the lore of a game, I loved listening to all the recordings from all locations.

The story is fantastic. The people behind the game used a very smart way of developing the story. Developing the story around the idea of consciousness and the brain is something else. A master stroke if you ask me.

I will finish this review by saying only this : Soma is not just a game. It's not just about the horror genre... it's beyond that. It's about the importance of consciousness and essence of humanity.

Big fan of the original trilogy and I can happily say that the 2024 version is worth it. It may have some flaws here and there but it is AMAZING.

I took my time playing through both campaigns and damn, it was a fantastic experience. Gonna replay it soon to get all the achievements, YES SIR !

The game FEELS like it should. While the 3rd person movement is not near as clunky as the original Alone in the Dark, there is a small level of jank that makes absolute sense.

The story is awesome. All the areas from the game are well-detailed.

The Voice acting with the notes and characters are well done. David Harbour and Jodie Comer did a fantastic job. The same goes for the other actors as well.

While it is huge and different from the original, it stands on its own as what Alone in the Dark should be. The story driven atmosphere is even more so amazing now as it was years ago. As someone who likes to explore and get more of the side lore. I was very pleased and impressed. I found myself putting down the controller and letting the notes be read to me in cinematic flare.

It's not Alone in the Dark A New Nightmare or the crap movie that was made as a cash grab / tax break.

The Music - BREATHTAKING. I could gush on that opening menu theme forever. The game's sound is top notch. I'm glad we get the soundtrack with the deluxe version.

What an absolute surprise this horror game turned out to be. As a horror game fanatic, I can tell you for certain that you'll find no better game that perfectly blends an amazing story with scary moments that will make you scream. I jumped out of my chair so many times I couldn't keep count. The jump scares are perfectly executed when you least expect them so I appreciate that a lot. So here are my thoughts overall:

-Amazing story. Well thought out. Its no easy feat to blend two different character arches together and make them both interesting and keep you connected. I have to give special props to this indie studio for pulling off such a complex game that doesn't make me lose interest.

-It's SCARY. The moments of horror you experience are so thought out and well executed. Like I said before... the jump scares are perfectly timed and happen when you least expect them. Just when you think you can have a break.. HERE COMES chase scenes and moments of dread and utter creepy ghosts that will just sit there and you have NO IDEA if they will do something. I can't say enough about it without spoiling too much.

-The riddles were so much fun. They range from easy all the way to "WHAT DO I DO!?!?" which I love because I like being challenged. You will often find yourself going through your documents/files to search for clues and some of them come from the game surroundings

-The graphics were impressive. I loved the attention to detail in the woods where your home is. I was walking around looking at the trees, water, and the house admiring the detail.

Overall: impressive game from an indie studio that almost comes off like a AA title instead of a indie title.

-Music and atmosphere were stellar. This is one of the most KEY elements to a game you have to achieve and it exceeded my expectations. The credits song slaps HARD. It fits the game so well.

I started this game with low expectations based on the reviews I've read...People, have you really played the game ?

This game is one of the few horror games that made me stand on my toes from start to finish. It is so intense. The atmosphere is overwhelming, you think there is someone next to you every step of the way. I had some jumpscares that made me jump literally.

It is slow-paced but well-done. There are few parts where you have to run but I will leave it up to you to discover what I meant by that. There are some...let's say puzzles which you have to figure out to continue the story.

The story is interesting and from what I've read is the first part of a horror series which is awesome. I am looking forward to the next part.

On another note...I can't believe this game was made by just one person. Jeff Winner, well done, sir !

This game is perfect. It has :

Perfect soundtrack

Perfect story (the world's backstory is intriguing)

Perfect visuals/art

Perfect and funny gameplay.

It's one of the best games I have ever played. It's simple yet once you're playing it, you can't let go. It's addictive. This is really Don'tNod's best game since Life is Strange.
