This game not only continues to open up and get more varied as you unlock more weapons, skills and characters, but it also continues to open up as you understand more.

Easy to get into, incredibly addicting, and surprisingly "deep".

Nostalgic yet new and unique. Simple but satisfying. It's great.

I really enjoy the art style, the music, and the simple yet responsive controls. The game difficulty is great in that it's challenging and rewarding but not insanely tough.

I do wish there was a bit more complexity or more diverse play throughout as it's a bit repetitive but that was somewhat expected coming into it.

Highly recommend for those who were fans of old, 2D side scrolling action games. Think Mega Man, Strider, etc.
