This game is awesome. I had the original Battlezone II: Combat Commander CD-ROM in 1999. Played it on the first computer I had ever built when I was in middle school. The game has definitely been refined, but it still looks and feels like the original and I'm loving it. I wish more people would get into it, the old school multiplayer deathmatches were a blast! Also, this is the first game I had ever played that offered an RTS experience like this. It's so much cooler to be able to be a part of the action itself, but still have the ability to use the relay bunker to "satellite view" the battlefield and build and command like a traditional RTS. Also, customizing your units is done from inside of the buildings themselves, so you have to get out of your ship and physically enter the buildings and interact with a control interface to make the changes. Very cool and more realistic feel to it with that little feature. Also, it gives a great sense of scale to the game and the battlefield when you interact with it personally, especially if you go between the satellite view and active play. phew. lol

Anyway, I know it's old, but give it a shot. You might be impressed with how awesome a game was out in 1999. lol
