The recent Patch 13 has done a huge amount of good for this game, massively overhauling class talent trees so there's a lot more identity and meaningful decisions to make, as well as rebalancing pretty much every weapon and ability in the game, to the point where the vast majority of stuff feels great to use.
Performance has also improved a great deal with more stable frame rates and crashes only occurring rarely because of the mods I'm using.

The only parts of the game which still irk me are the overpriced microtransaction cosmetics for a non-f2p game, wish we had way more customisation options than we currently do without having to pay 20$ for a single cosmetic set but I guess that's just the state of modern gaming.

Also the crafting system needs an overhaul desperately with how much Plasteel you need compared to the supposedly rarer Diamantine, reminds me of the green and blue dust problem back in the old days of V2 lol.

In any case it feels like a completely different game from the launch experience and I can confidently say that in terms of the core gameplay, Darktide is definitely worth picking up now.
