In an age where games have become increasingly convoluted and overly monetized, games like deep rock galactic really shine. A small, focused game with a lot of replayability and fun multiplayer. You wont spend the rest of you life playing it and thats honestly a good thing. Theres too much content in the world that demands you life to enjoy it. Always fun to come back to it and route pipe in a cave every now and then to scratch the tism.

Mixed opinions. But I personally wouldn't recommend it as an adult gamer. Would probably be good for kids, which seems to be the target audience. The aesthetic is too childish for my tastes. Graphics look like they're from 2006 but higher rez. Reminds me of a mobile game in presentation. The UI is simple and the tooltips that come up and tell you about the game mechanics are nice. Camera controls need more refinement, cant set the camera position as low as I would like. The sliding static figures seem a bit lazy and out of place. I get it that its kinda a reference to old table top games but it needs to feel smoother and more animated. Grid-based movement and turn-based combat are nice in an MMO, I appreciate the strategy elements. Just didnt keep my interest past 30 min or so. Not engaging for a seasoned gamer looking for a different MMO. Gotta say I appreciate the devs doing something new but it still feels kinda cookie cutter in presentation and customisation. Be more daring! Tired of the same warrior/rogue/mage/healer go to a dungeon format of game. Maybe if the intro of the game were a bit more story based and less like a tutorial I would have been more engaged. But then again I am probably not the real market for this game. Ill follow the progress of the game and see where it goes but just doesn't really seem that interesting to me at this point in time. If it took some cues from final fantasy tactics or ogre battle in terms of class variety and customization, or added interactive environments or combos with other players that would be awesome.
OH I should also mention something very positive: simple and short privacy policy information. Devs seem sincere about trying to make a good game and not just a lame cash grab loaded down with bs anti cheating software that doesnt work, like many other MMOs.

One of the most fun racing games to come out of the early 2000s. Good physics (usually). Driving is rewarding. Its just a fun experience! It doesnt take itself too seriously and thats what made so many of these old games great. They were just ridiculous! Mad bodykits and neon lights everywhere! Truly a time capsule of a game.
Car selection is a bit limited, not that much difference between car trims to justify prices in the dealership (just like real life). Options in tuning seem a bit pointless because the variety doesnt really matter. HKS and Greddy turbos have no real difference in performance. Tires do effect how the car handles in different conditions which is a nice plus but its a pain to have to pay for new tires every time you want to switch. Some cars have oddly low top speeds making them fairly useless pretty quick. The girlfriends mechanic is laughable in every regard and really appeals to the lowest common denominator of heterosexual human male. Really not that bad of negatives. If you want to live your 12 year old fast n furious fantasies all over again look no further.

Suspenseful. Legit spooked. Great atmosphere. I was very curious to figure everything out and was making lists of keywords in real life to figure out what to search next. Unfortunately, the ending didn't really hit me as it should have. Due to the non linear nature of your discovery, you can find out the climax of the story before youre supposed to. Which is what happened to me. However, you don't realise its the climax when you reach it. So I spent from when I saw those clips till the end piecing the story together in reverse and just had a mild "oh..."moment when I realised I had spoiled it for myself at the beginning. It was a good story and presented well, but if some of the more major clips weren't findable until later I think it might help the pacing. Overall good unique game. Not much replay value.

You know what? Its actually a cute lil game. its fun to just have running on a second screen while working on other things. Its kinda meta how gaming has evolved into watching a game play itself....but I digress. Theres a bit more complexity to this than you would think if you want to make efficient use of time. You get to figure out the strategy of the right party and gear that will get you the farthest / make you the most gold. The player characters and gear arent too visually stunning (probably because theyre just pretty small so you cant pack in too much detail), but the monster art is really fun and feels true to old school games. The creature design starts getting really silly once you enter the Lair of Dispair, and there are many pop culture references within the designs. The animations could be more lively but they are period correct for the style. The auto does a decent job but doesnt utilize all skills and combat items. It could be a bit smarter but does a decent job overall. I know its a free game so you can only expect so much effort....but Id be willing to pay for a smarter auto system and some more impressive animation. Lots of good potential in a fun simple game. Its pretty to look at and doesnt require intense focus. Good to get your mind off things. Oddly hypnotic.

An elder scrolls MMO sounds perfect. And it would be, if it were anything like an elder scrolls game. Its a watered down version of skyrim. While its prety technically sound, and plays well, its just not that interesting. The elder scrolls games were supposed to make you really feel like you were a part of a living world, with loads to do and secrets to find. ESO falls to the same plague of many other online games: it feels static and guided. You dont feel like youre discovering tamriel with other people, it feels like youre running through a mmo and people are there too.
Its a decent mmo all things considered but it just wasn't what it should have been. Quests are repetetive. Not very immersive. Its a pretty cookie cutter mmo with some gimmicks to it. Writing was decent, really enjoyed the books scattered throughout, but npc interactions felt a bit overdone at times.
ESO is just not outstanding enough to recommend, given what it costs and what it very easily could have been.
