Blackwell Epiphany is most certainly a fitting end to the series. The game has so many great emotional moments, especially the last hour or so. Dave Gilbert and the rest of the team at Wadjet Eye Games outdid themselves with this one. If you haven't picked this up yet, do yourself a favor and do so. You won't be disappointed.

Serena may be a short game, but the tale woven throughout the hour-long experience will last a lifetime. The deep, multilayered narrative keeps changing and makes you wondering what will happen next. Even by the time the credits roll you're not quite sure exactly what happened.

It is a game built by fans and developers of adventure games FOR fans and developers of adventure games...a gift for the community that proves that "true friends stand by each other through any adversity".

While only half of the game has been released so far, it’s still a good chunk of story. And the tale is just what you’d expect from Charles Cecil and the other writers. It’s full of intrigue, mythology, and good old fashioned humour that you would expect from a Broken Sword game. There are a few small nitpicks, but overall it’s a solid playing experience. Some have said that the game is too short and that you rarely leave Paris, but what else would you expect for an experience that’s only 50% done? And it does leave on a bit of a cliffhanger, so if you’re impatient, you might want to wait until January when the rest is released.

While playing I was constantly reminded of my first romp through Myst. It was just me and the world around me. In a way, Lilly Looking Through is an extension of this philosophy of figuring out what’s going on on your own. In a gaming environment filled with action titles that make your muscles twitch like crazy, it’s a fresh change of pace to sit back and leisurely move through each screen and just enjoying the ambiance. And it’s a great game that can be played by children of all ages. After reaching the end I found myself wanting more. I highly recommend this game to anyone with children or just want something short to unwind from a long day.

It’s an emotional roller-coaster ride that keeps you on your toes and just wondering what will happen. Few games these days make you feel. In an era where mindless first-person shooters and grindy MMOs only have your fingers twitching, it’s a refreshing change of pace to make your MIND twitch. I was left speechless and in tears by the time my experience was over, and I find myself longing for more.

A classic series of adventure games produced by Sierra On-Line during the height of the genre's popularity. Each one brings plenty of laughs and nods to various science fiction franchises. Pick this up and give them a try.
