This game has an amazing storyline, great gameplay and an enjoyable atmosphere.

As Vito Scarletta you discover yourself joining the Italian Mafia after getting out of the war for a couple of years. Roaming the streets of Empire Bay had its limitations on what you could do and what you couldn't. It's free roam felt slightly restricted as it's not as open as games such as the GTA (Grand Theft Auto) series. The open world felt quite similar to Sleeping Dogs in a way.

The 1940s-1950s setting didn't feel like a new era to me as it reminded me of games such as Driver which was one of many favourite memories. The music in the game didn't appeal to me too much as I'm not really a fan of the 50s music.

The customization with vehicles and character clothing is very limited, although it was enough for me to enjoy. Graphics were decent and didn't get me too worried about it.

I encounted a bug or two while playing the game and a graphical problem which did get quite frustrating to a point. The checkpoint system in this game also felt like a very perfunctory attempt by 2K Games which would have added about an hour of unnecessary playtime.

Gameplay felt similar to GTA in a lot of ways which I was able to adapt to easily. There were quite a few mundane missions which consisted of driving to locations, etc. Getting into a gun fight in this game really felt riviting and awesome! Along with everything else, the storyline is what kept me going through this game. It basically covers the game up from a lot of it's flaws.

Definitely a game worth playing if you are in for a good storyline and pumping gun fights.
