It's like if Left 4 Dead was an actual game. It makes L4D look like a tech demo in comparison.

Darktide has genuinely some of the most satisfying gameplay ever, most notably the melee combat.

Everything from the lore, the visuals, and audio make Darktide super immersive.

I cannot stress enough how much I believe that this is Game of the Year 2023.

Everything from the art, the story, the gameplay, and progression is fantastic. Even in Early Access, there's a sizeable amount of content. (Now that it's out of Early Access, there's SO MUCH more content)

If you love the look of the game but you're put off by the restaurant management part of the game, don't be. It's not overly stressful, and gets significantly easier as you progress. It's a great way to feel like you're making progress when you see how much money you're earning compared to previous days.

The dev team are awesome at listening to ideas and communicating with players on their Discord server.

I have seen a significant amount of people mention that they don't typically play singleplayer games (including myself) who were totally captured by this game. I don't know what it is about the game that appeals to people like us so strongly, but it's there.
