There aren't any jump scares or any real scares for that matter. It's got a great old-school creepy atmoshpere, though.
Don't read up anything about the game and definitely DO NOT visit the Community forums. It'll spoil the game for you instantly.

Prety gud gaem

Be aware that the game might not even start for you. I've bought both this and Saints Row 3, but haven't actually gotten into the game in either of them. My specs shouldn't be the problem, since they are: i5-4670K, Radeon HD 280x 3GB and 8GB RAM. If you have the same specs or similar, I suggest that you at least wait for a sale that you won't waste 15€ on something that doesn't work. Same goes for Saints Row 3. The games freeze at start up and this game won't even close after it's frozen, I actually have to log out to make the game close.
I bought this game in hopes that it would work, but like the previous title, it doesn't.

If I actually get this game to work someday, I'll change this review to a thumbs up, but for now, I won't.

EDIT: Now with the Steam refund system, you might as well give it a shot since you can request for your money back in case the game doesn't work for you. Unfortunately I bought the game before the refund system was added, so I can't apply for a refund.

Brutal violence. Beautiful old school graphics. Stunning soundtrack. Difficult and satisfying gameplay with an intriguing storyline on top of it.
It has it all. Can't wait for the sequel.

A great game. It's all about precise movements, dying and retrying. But you won't get mad at the game, since there are very frequent checkpoints and that way you don't have to play through a lot to get to the point where you died at. The music is simply put, awesome.
The game isn't that long, but for this price you can't ask for a very lengthy game either. And at the point of buying this game (just a little while ago), it was on sale for -90%, so I got it for 0,49e!
It's a game that makes you feel good.

The game is pretty fun and does have a lot of potential. But since it's still in early access, the amount of content isn't that huge, there's only 3 modes and 3 maps out (at least I've only seen those in populated servers). And there definitely has to be some tweaking in terms of gameplay mechanics. For example in one game mode the last one standing against zombies is the winner, so you'd expect that the game will have some tense situations when it's either kill the zombies together or kill the other player so that you'll be one step closer to being the last one standing and thus the winner of the round. But unfortunately it's pretty easy to just get away with killing every human player you see, and that's definitely a con. It makes it more of a deathmatch mode with zombies just roaming around.

The graphics and sounds are just as they should be and I've got nothing to complain about those.

I'd still recommend the game if you'll get it cheap. After a couple of months the game might be drastically different and better with more content. I've played the game for only 4 hours, but feel like I've seen everything there is to offer at this point.
