The number of active players on pc is on the rise and the developers are active in supporting the game, new content comes frequently. There are three game modes Trials, which is sort of a single player offline PVE challenge mode. quickplay, which is sort of a 12 man free for all King of the Hill kind of mode. This is played solo. Bounty Hunt, which is the core game mode and which is where most of the action happens. You can play this in duos or trios, or you can join either mode as a solo. There is almost always 12 people in a match. This means you can be fighting any combination of duos (or trios) and solos if you enter as a solo. I advise playing duos or trios until your comfortable and knowledgeable enough to run solo. Hunt has a very steep mechanical learning curve but don't be afraid to fight people with better loadouts. Hunt is interesting and in order to be proficient, you have to be good in two ways. The first is being good at fps, to have good aim and get headshots. The second is to be good at Hunt specifically, knowing the layouts of compounds and the details of the mechanics. If you're good at both then you're set, but most players are only good at one, if that. Good luck.
