Beautiful but Flawed.

What is probably the MOST important aspect of any shoot 'em up is the player movement calibration, and here, it fails.

What is probably the second most important is hit box consistency, and unfortunately both the player and enemy seem to register (or NOT) hits arbitrarily at times which quickly becomes frustrating.

Also, there are odd glitches and bugs with the story dialog where previous stage elements are repeated and may pop up on screen during actual play.

However, the graphic design is STUNNING!

If you don't mind sloppy controls, "cut scenes" that last longer than some stages, and an overall vapid "Bullet Hell" design, give it shot and a single play through just to experience the art.

This is an excellent pinball game showcasing steller physics modelling and amazing gameplay.

It is probably a little expensive for what you get (one table, no achievements) when comparing to some of the more recent pinball releases, but considering that the Pro Pinball series of tables still hold up and are fun to play after 10+ years shows that the tables they design are all modern day classics.

This is a great tile-based word making game that offers up enough unique elements to make it a worthwhile addition to your game collection.

The main gameplay is something along the lines of Bookworm meets the "mining" game mode of Bejeweled 3. Most of the challenges are number of turn based, though there are also some math and timed limited challenges as well.

The acceptable word list is quite large, but could probably be expanded a bit. However, this is a minor quibble and doesn't impact the enjoyment of the game.

The difficulty curve seems to be 'just right' for the most part for people that have experience with letter tile and match 3 type games, and the various achievements are handed out in a fine pace to keep you interested.

The only issue I see as a negative with the game is the Global Leader Board as the game is VERY random by its nature and therefore scores are heavily weighted toward LUCK of the draw. And while there is a specific skillset involved with this type of game, it is in no way an actual meaningful comparison between players. But I guess we have come to expect every game on Steam to have a leaderboard, so it is at least there for those that want that.

Overall a fine game to spend time with and a nice addition to an often overlooked genre.

A great time and a comfy experience that unfortunately can be completed in a single session.

First, you DO want to have a game pad with analog sticks to enjoy this game.

This game draws you in quickly and gets you moving along the "story" path in such an unintrusive manner, it is easy to have the outside world completely stop and find yourself submerged in a nigh-meditative state.

Style over substance and a price that would suggest there is more here (there isn't) than meets the eye.

There is about 3 or so hours of "campaign" and the gameplay is EXCELLENT!

However, I think the asking price is a bit steep for what you get, so If you can get this at a decent sale price, don't hesitate, grab it.

Like the other two pinball thrills releases, this is a PROPER release for the PC.

The camera options are more than sufficient and the game runs without any lag or choppiness.

You get 6 tables which are ALL original designs. These tables are NOT rules-deep and play more as a fine time waster than anything else. Some of the tables here remind me of early VP8 homebrew designs.

The physics. Low gravity and a very live ball and once you get comfortable, you can have a FUN game of pinball.

This is well worth the normal price of $3.99, and if you find it on sale, GRAB IT, you could do a lot worse.

The physics. Imagine Peggle meets VP8 and/or Original FP and you will know this isn't a SERIOUS pinball sim but rather an ARCADE rendention. The ball is very LIVELY, and the one element that suprised me, is that the simulation is CONSISTENT, so you can get dialed in and actually have a FUN and CHALLENGING game of pinball.

This is worth the normal price of $3.99, and if you find it onsale, GRAB IT, you could do a lot worse.

I am asking for a REFUND since this game is currently unplayable and even if it were, it is not remotely worth the asking price.

Why do developers release games on PC that are obviously not developed with the PC in mind?

No screen resolution options. (window / fullscreen}
No controller mapping options. (preset and can't change)
Horrible graphics engine that is poorly optimized. (Tried this on both Nvidia and AMD hardware just to be sure.)
The interface and HUD is the minimum you could get away with and looks like a child may have designed it.

The Physics - Not tuned. The ball can hop out of the launch lane, and the flipper angular torque seems to be ♥♥♥♥♥. When the ball is on the tip of the flipper (you get exact pathing) no matter the force, and that equals to always in the out lane. Which brings me to...

The Table - Complete Junk. They went with a modern take on the EM classics, and decided to pack everything (and a pachinko machine) into the layout and while it comes across as pretty to look at, it is an unplayable mess.

The Camera - There are two to choose from (camera 1 from Future Pinball) and then the Overhead/Top Down view.

Had this been $4.99 or less I would have probably held on to it just to support teams that are doing pinball and along the way hope to get a fixed and tuned product that is fun to play. But when Pro Pinball has trouble getting new buyers at the same price range, this is just asking way too much from the consumer.

Can't Recommend.

What started out as a broken and poor release, that then showed some slight improvement with a few patches, has ended up being an embarrassment for both Stern and Farsight. Sad.
