tl;dr - Disgustingly lazy design with nice graphics, gets boring quickly.

it is not a bad game, in a sense it works and doesn't have any glaring problems, except it is just mediocre and bland... slightly more complicated Risk... and man, I like playing Risk gameboard to relax, but I didn't want to buy it here

Graphics - great, no complaints - excellent map

Music and sounds - very limited and get boring quickly

Gameplay - very shallow, as a map painter it is OK, otherwise..... well, "otherwise" consists of tedious, pointless clicker games - "managing" population, technology, characters.... but after a while you just ignore it (because of tedium - terrible UI)... and it doesn't even matter much.
Besides, every country plays almost the same. Gauls, Romans, Egyptians, Sarmatians, Arabs, Indians.... whatever, it's all the same, no flavour at all - same units, same goverments, same technology, same population... you get the point.

And as Paradox fan.... this is utterly disappointing, when you know they have some good games out there with nice mechanics ready to be implemented in Imperator.... but they chose to just ignore them all, giving us Risk-like experience instead.
