I'd recommend it based on the gameplay. Optimisation is sorely lacking. Seemingly random FPS drops (Game will drop to ~20fps for a few seconds before correcting itself) and the game crashed while teleporting to another area. Very common problems for UE games in 2023.

This game is a strange beast. On one end, it feels like it wants to be a milsim. (slow reload, ammo management, healing mechanics etc.) On the other end, there are arcadey elements. (infinite stamina, vaulting like a madman, fast respawn times etc.) Finding the middle ground between these two elements is where the skill lies. Frankly, I suck at FPS games but I'm having fun trying to get into the flow of this game. This is due to the game being a no-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ approach to the genre. Search for a game, hop right in and off you go.

Wish there weren't so many bugs, the premise of this game is amazing. I want to love it. I want to play it. Too many bugs to be a reliable experience though. :(

Spent 4 hours on an ATV unlocking all the outposts on the map. Now the hunt can begin!

Do yourself a favour -- buy the game and go in blind.

I'd really love to play the game but I am one of the unfortunate souls out there. HWL is unoptimised on my rig and it doesn't utilise my GPU and CPU properly. They're not running at maximum capacity, hovering around 60% and 40% respectively. This causes wild variations in FPS and really annoying stuttering. I've tried to push through it but I've lost the will to do so. Some have this issue, some don't. I hope this gets addressed in a future patch or GFX driver because the game itself is amazing and I would honestly love to play through the whole thing.
