Worthless Devs, worthless publisher. Released half baked game and already abandoned. Never again.

Strange how multicultural and diverse 1800's England was. Who knew?! 10/10

Speaking as an old school MoO fan, having played all of the originals at release... This game is a pale shadow of any of them.

They dumbed down ship design and combat, made it boring and pointless (two of the biggest factors that made the previous one's so great).

They implemented a space lanes only model, which I'm not againts space lanes, but they should have done something to allow for other ways to play the game. Look at Stellaris as an example where you choose your FTL method which then determines your method of travel through the galaxy. MoO 1&2 did not even have space lanes either, so not sure why thats the only option in this game.

Graphics are nice overall, a bit on the cartoony side for my tastes, but not something that would prevent me from buying and/or enjoying the game. Voice acting is very good as well.

Strategy seems pretty shallow as well. Just doesn't have that strategic magic or challenge that makes me want to come back over and over again.

Now it seems like they are rapid firing DLC out for the game as well. Not something I will be investing in. Maybe this was there plan all along, release some flashy looking/sounding game and cash cow it into oblivion. Either way, I can't recommend this game unless you get it for VERY cheap.

Game has potential for fun. Unfortunately it is very unoptimized and very unfinished. But instead of finishing and optimizing their early access product, like they were paid by millions of customers to do. They are creating new unfinished/unoptomized DLC content and selling that. No thanks. Will no longer support this game or these devs. Good Luck.

Launched game, set all settings to high. Ran benchmark. Average 27fps in dx11. FINALLY A REASON TO UPGRADE MY PC! Thanks Stardock!

Game is a buy at 75% off for the single player content. Multiplayer/Skirmish mode is a complete bust. Stick to the original.
