For this particular Cry Engine game they decided to make it so if you have Direct X 10 or below to NOT allow you to play.... so if you have an older video card that doesnt support Direct X 11 you CANNOT play this game.

What a bunch of crap.

We did not disable DirectX 10 support. CryEngine 3.6 aka the new licence they released on steam does not support DirectX 10 as it uses new features DirectX 10 does not support. We have no control over that, that is something Crytek implemented in the latest engine. RYSE: Son of Rome & Crysis 3 both use the same version and require a DirectX 11 supported video card. It was stated on the store page.
