From the games opening prologue the smell of whale oil and despair hits you right out of the screen, from that it just gets more intense. The Half-Life 2 vibes lies there in the foreground together with a splash of Bioshock. The tight controller and the utterly fantastic freedom in every mission makes the games playthrough value abnormally high. The story might not be revolutionary, but it works here, a classic story of right and wrong - good or evil - it's like a late georgian painting coming to life, in which you hold the brush, changing the painting as you choose to play the game.
