Hmm, you might like A Valley Without Wind 2. I didn't play the first one, since it looked painful...but I'm really enjoying their re-do. The 2D platforming is hit-or-miss, but the strategy portion and the game as a whole are exquisitely balanced...it's just the right amount of unforgiving.

Hour-and-a-half into Miasmata...it's so very up my alley. Orienteering against the clock to locate an undiscovered campsite before pitch black night? Sublime.

Hey, what do you think of Recettear? I'm intrigued by the shop-keeping aspect, but I'm not big on JRPGs. The review on RPS is just confusing in that regard; he seems to really want to insist that it transcends conventional JRPGs, but then goes on to describe it in pretty much just those terms. What's your take?
