UM. I'M SORRY? this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RIPS. play it with friends and have a grand old time. seriously fantastic.

this game is something special. Such a wonderful blend mechanics and systems from classic survival horror and bringing into the modern day with it's own unique flair and visual style alongside it. great characters, fun writing, a compelling story and not afraid to get very personal.
while not my favorite horror game this year, Sorry We're Closed is something special. would love to play this again very soon :')

there are definitely things about the original i prefer, but this remake is pretty much everything i could have ever hoped for. my favorite game re-imagined for modern consoles and done justice in so so many ways. Bloober NAILED it and i honestly cannot believe how good this game is.

definitely need to sit on this to give a REAL opinion on this, but overall i thoroughly enjoyed my time with Hollowbody. it felt the perfect level of jank, clunky and paired with a peak level of vibes and atmosphere, i cannot appreciate what was accomplished here enough. My only gripes were with some of the combat and how it's melee attacks with drastically different attack times and range seemed to be dealt out at random, leading melee to be drastically hit or miss at no fault of my own... and the other thing is i'm not entirely sure what story was being told here, but i'm willing to sit on that and give the game another go with the entire story under my belt and hopefully get a better grip on what was actually going on here. there is plenty to love and if you're a real fan of the old school FEEL of a survival horror game, then you should absolutely give this a go, even if some of it's systems are more streamlined and would never be actively utilized in a game like this from way back when.

might unironically be the best rogue-like game ever made

has occasional moments of legit brilliance and fun set pieces, but not nearly enough to justify this games existence. truly boring, repetitive, generally uninspired and just a really sad end to the Dead Space series (until the legitimately excellent remake)
