The visuals are great and all, but the gameplay is just not quite up to par.

A terribly-optimised game on PC.

Hey, cool. 2023 has it's first actual video game.

I literally don't know where else to post this, since PC support for this game is essentially non-existent. I haven't experienced any crashes like most other reviews, but I've certainly come across issues of my own.

Attempting to rebind controls for a PS5 controller (possibly others) doesn't work, unless you use the keyboard "Enter" key. But even then, if you want to rebind a button, as soon as you push a button on the controller, it just brings you back to the options screen. There doesn't seem to be any way around this glaring problem. You simply can't rebind controller buttons, despite the implication that it's included in the options.

Another big gripe I have, is the game not having specified options saved exclusively to each profile. In other words, When I play the game on one profile, I prefer less Accessibility options and harder difficulties. And when my niece is over, I have to change all the options back to easier difficulty settings and more accessibility quality of life options, even though we're playing on separate profiles. So I have to change it back and forth, back and forth, etc. It's quite annoying.
They've done well enough optimizing the in-game experience itself, from what I can tell. But in all that attention specifically directed to the gameplay, they seem to have forgotten to optimize the menu options to any decent capacity.

This needs to be addressed, please, whoever can hear my meagre complaints out there in the void, Nixxes, Insomniac, anyone...

What an absolutely shoddy port of an already shoddy original game on the first Xbox.
The game itself is fine, from a design standpoint, but the optimization on every platform is nothing short of horrendible all-around.

How does this PC port have so many positive reviews? It's a digital sack of dookie, just like seemingly all the other Splinter Cell ports. Albeit, maybe not quite as rancid as the other ports.

No controller support for a game originally designed around controllers.

Getting a little dangerously close to woke territory. What are you doing, capcom?
