After getting 100% (or as close to it as I care to.) I can say that Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass was well worth my time. Some bullet points to keep it shorter/avoid spoilers.

+ Strong story that knows what it's trying to be. Not complex but it's entertaining, smart, and depressing in it's own ways. Since this is a game were the story is best served blind. I won't go into detail with it. It doesn't spell out everything, but I felt it was quite clear what everything meant. It leaves very little up in the air. I enjoy that over making everything super vague.

+$15.00 for 30-40ish hours depending on how much you do is a pretty good value in my book. I can't say the same for every full priced game I've played.

+ Combat is fun if you're into turn-based rpgs. Jimmy can change classes mid-combat allowing you to have a answer to most situations. Boss fights are mostly challenging and fair. Most of them I did in one shot. Sometimes took two with a different approach. Jimmy is the most complex with having the monster forms. And some can be stronger then they look at first glance. Like the bird.

+The monster changing mechanic is used outside of combat to solve puzzles. You can also use the goon to shake everyone for another line of dialogue. Most of the time it's "stop it." Sometimes it can be something more interesting.

+Soundtrack is great. While I didn't love every song, I didn't find one I hated. I really enjoyed the battle music and giant garden's to name a few.

+Quite a bit of content. There are many side areas that can be found in the game. They are a wide range of levels. So you can do them to lessen the grind of the game as well as get more lore.

Now for some of the bad. I feel most of these are a bit nitpicky. As they didn't ruin the game for me just annoying.

-Some of the boss fights felt too rng. Mostly the ones with an added mechanic. If they went all in on it, It felt too hard to stop them from doing it. It being killing you for sure. I would say it may have been me underleveled, failing a dps check... But I beat them on the next try. because they felt like not playing into the auto kill move.

-Not all monster forms are that useful. And because there is a 3 turn cooldown on monster changing mid fight, you can't really afford to love them all equally. If you need a heal or a stun. You know what form you're staying or going to. The ones you don't need go untouched, or at the very best become stat sticks. I would say it's the worst for the tank forms. I tried to spread the love for the forms, but got little pay off.

-Magic is worse then physical pretty much always. Magic builds are just weaker. Not that you can't beat the game with it. I enjoy playing mages in games, so I went for that in my run. You lack power pretty much any physical based build has. Jimmy can be built pretty much anyway you want him to. but one form gets much more powerful attacks that magic just can't compare with really. I would have killed bosses so much quicker if i just did that. Magic also is bogged down by heavier cooldowns without anymore power to show for it. It's only better at aoe but that doesn't matter when both aoes are good enough for non bosses.

I could go on about this game for a while, but I think anyone reading this can get the point. I think Jimmy is a great game overall despite some flaws.
