If you know EDF 4.1 this game has some tweaks and updates compared to it especially for finding and upgrading weapons and how some classes work. The story is just as in EDF 4.1 nice and b-movie silly like (sadly found the story of EDF 4.1 a tad better) and just as that game it is a blast to play together with friends and progress through the campaign.

At it's core it is a Horde shooter, but on higher difficulties one needs to use tactics in movement, work together or the bugs and aliens will make short work of your team.

Nice and relaxing on lower diffuclties to blow off some steam, good and challenging on higher ones and one always finds a small upgrade here or there for ones gear just playing the game.

The dlc packs are extra and sometimes silly vehicles one can get and not really needed to play the game, but fun to have and to support the developer with.
