All I can say, is wow...
The pure content of the DLC is not bad, it adds flavour to the game, it adds a new style for air combat, but come on guys. You shoudn't be charging $10 for this, ($13 for me.)
Considering that 3/4 of what is in this DLC was added by modders already, it looks pretty scummy that all of it is being re-hashed and charged for it.

Some modders have spoken on your forums, as I am sure you have most likley seen already. How is it that they are able to sit down for a solid month or two, and make 4 focus trees, OR MORE, in the time it takes your ENTIRE STUDIO to make four?
I mean for god sakes, even if you weren't ripping it off and rehashing it as new (I don't care if you atleast gave credit, but come on guys, everyone knows you basically went into the steam workshop and said "Neat, neat, neat, alright guys we got our next DLC" But the fact that it took an entire proffessional team to make this, and it almost taking 5 months at that, would be hilarious if I wasn't so annoyed, that this is what my Field Marshal DLC is going towards.

The community has been calling since RELEASE day, for the A.I to be improved upon, yet every patch we get, the A.I is still subsequently stupid as all hell.
When you read the forums, and the numerous "Please fix the A.I" posts; do you just see that as "They want focus trees!"?

Come on guys, bloody hell.
Paradox used to be a company I could talk about proudly, "Hell yeah, they make some of the best strategy games in the industry!" But you are tainting your own name. If I mention Paradox, I don't get the same prestigeous response of "Oh I love them!" or, "Oh yeah I have heard they are good!" I get now, "Oh they are the DLC spammers right? Yeah I was on looking at the steam DLC's they have, its like $220 for the completed game and all the little DLC's!"
Don't become EA guys. This is the same policy that led to them becoming one of the most hated developers in the industry.

None of us mind buying DLC, $20 or $30 for a well done DLC. thats not the issue. But for the sake of your brand, and our loyalty, make it worth it guys.

After Russia getting cut and cut and cut and nerfed and nerfed and attrition nerfed making Russia weak, its nice to see an attempt to give them some love again.

Cool game, one of the most "tactical" games out right now. If you're a fan of FPS shooters with a lot of teamwork, this is it.

Loved playing this game back in the day, but this new port is such a headache to get working.
Constantly crashing, have spent 45 minutes as of this review trying to fix an error I keep getting.
Tried 3 fixes so far, none worked, I can start the game, but once I click anything that triggers the movie I crash.
Windows 7 users beware
Breaks my heart to give one of my childhood favorite games a No, but they could have atleast got it working before they re-released it. Gunna try fixing it for another hour before I refund it. Shoudn't have to though.

EDIT: Got it working, for people who cannot do it read this, helped me get it working in like 5 minutes.

Still randomly crashes, which can be kind of a piss off when your really into the mission, but atleast I can play...

A long time ago I played a game called, "Detroit". The objective of the game was to build an automotive empire. Despite being released for DOS, it had advanced customization features rarely seen elsewhere. The game made every attempt to be immersive. Menus were represented as rooms or buildings. Want to change your research? Go talk to the researchers. Interested in making some investments? Call the bank from your office. The game even takes many major world events into consideration. (Which tend to impact your sales.)

I could go on and on... Why am I telling you about Detroit? Well, Gear City is everything Detroit was, and more. The game is very retro. It very much looks like a DOS game. That said, it has features which set it far apart and above old games. (Such as interactive 3D models.)

The main feature is designing and selling your own vehicles. The game takes place over many years. As you research new parts, your build options expand. The available parts are extensive. They don't cover absolutely everything, but they cover almost anything you'll want to build. The body options are somewhat limited, but this is mostly superficial anyway.

About 5 rulers in on my first playthrough, my father was a Satanic Priest and the Preferatus for the High Priesthood at the time of his death. As soon as my regency was over I joined the Dominicans, now roughly 30 years later I lead the Domician Order and my friend/vassal is on the verge of either leading the Benedictines or being elected to the Papacy. I am loving this new content. Just wish I could give some of my treasury away to deserving vassals.
