Let me start by saying, I am a huge fan of the Fallout series, I have played them for yaers, and have back-tracked all the way to the first Fallout game. This game, however, is not that great.
The game gets boring a couple hours in, and you feel like you are struggling just to keeop playing, instead of fighting to put the game down, you are fighting to keep playing the game....
Gone, are the old ways of being able to kill anyone and anything with their own consequences and rewards, and the story world changing around you as in Fallout New vegas, now their are the stupid "Essential NPC's" back again. Instead of Bethesda trying to surpass Obsidian in Fallout NV, they simply just said, "meh." And re-added essential NPC's, so remember the big mean faction leader you could kill in NV that changed the destiny of the world? Well, thankfully in Fallout 4, Bethesda makes the choice for you, you can't! Cause who wants to make their own decisions, right??

I could go on for hours, but this game was honestly a huge let down, especially for someone who has been eagerly waiting for the next Fallout game, so dissapointed. 1 Graphical step forward, 10 Story and gameplay steps back, if not the same as Fallout 3, which was released YEARS AGO.

Gameplay: 3/10
The gameplay is not horrible, with VAT's being re-done, and gun combat being easier to play with then in previous titles, it is over-all an enjoyable experience, although, it really could of been improved. Everything feels the same with the exception of VAT's, which the only change really was making NPC's move during the sequence, no game changers its true to Fallout style, good, but not great, just decent. Wait was also removed, so being able to wait and pass time and restore health was removed, you now only have certain locations you can rest at. Now my main gripe, and a thing that annoys alot of long-term Fallout fans. The addition of essential NPC's. Fallout used to be a game where you were truly immersed in, you felt that you were never safe, and no character in the world was safe. You were the destined badass from the vault/NV that was going to shape and change the world, the strokes of your bat, and bullets of your guns decided how that world would be shaped, long after you were gone. There were hundreds of choices of NPC's and factions that lay at the mercy of your trigger finger. If you wanted to kill Caesar, the MAIN antagonist of NV, you could. If you wanted to set New Vegas alight and attack Mr.House, you could. If you wanted to kill the NCR general, you could. In Fallout 4, if you find the head of a faction, or someone of high importance, Bethesda never went out of their way to make arching storylines, or multiple paths you could progress a story without X or Z character, no, they literally ripped it from the game, and make you go along a railroad choice for whatever faction you choose to play as. For how long they have had to work on this game, and from how in-depth Fallout New Vegas was, it proves it could be done with hundreds of story arches, Fallout 4 doesnt only fail, but it never even TRIED to live up to its predecessor, utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Graphics 9/10
You are going to hear alot of ranting about how its the same old engine and that they are just recycling their old equipment, but the game does honestly look and feel great, NPC's and the world around you looks well-done and polished.

Story 0.5/10
Another recycled storyline about how you are thrown unknowingly into the harsh desert wasteland and someone you love has left/kidnapped/shot, and you are on a quest for revenge. The story really is not intruging, and I could honestly careless about what happens to the baby of his, but the game and Bethesda literally FORCE you to care, going across the wasteland in search of your kid. To be honest, even if Bethesda had not forced you to care, the storyline itself is a turn away alone. I realize why they get their reputation as being bad story tellers through this game. I am over 3 hours in and am fighting to just keep playing the game, it has no intruging qualities at all.

Sound 8/10
Good overall, the guns sound fine, your dog makes noises, the world is alive, and the good old Fallout music makes a return, need I say more? Fallout music? ...Anyone?

Overall: 5/10
If you have never played Fallout New Vegas, and do not know what you are missing, it is a good game for you, but for anyone who liked all your choices and gameplay options that was unqiue to Fallout for so long, wait for the game to be on sale, or do not buy at all. Severly dissapointed.

Still bad

Gunna be honest from the front, REALLY did not like FHM 1, but if you are in the market for a GM game, specifically for hockey, do not let that turn you away.
Look no further than franchise hockey manager 2. It is vastly improved from the last game, you can tell they have put a lot of work and care, to making it better than before and it is debatably even better than Eastside hockey manager at this point . Trades have been normalized and player progression is normal and fun to watch young draftees climb the slots. Statistics are pretty realistic and standings are fun to watch as you play through the years, randomized draft pools make you plan your future... Do you want to go for the position you need? Or go for the player the best in the draft? Honestly at this point the only complaint I have is one I can't seem to get the real NHL logos in the game no matter what I do (Yes I used the forums). And number two it is kind of annoying to see player potential displays right from the start, it helps a ton with understanding where players will be in the future but so far I have yet to see any diamonds in the rough of young guys with low potential that come out and do good so it kind of takes away from the unknowingness of young prospects you kind of always know who is going to be good or not and draft bust's are rare. Other than that great game!

I have already uninstalled seaside hockey manager as I have no need for it now and I will continue to sync hundreds of hours into franchise hockey manager. From someone who hated number one as much as everybody else I give this a recommendation completely and honestly.
Franchise hockey manager to the huge step up from this predecessor and I am honored to give it a 9 out of 10.

GREAT game, especially for the price, easy to pick up and play, fun upgrades and missions allow you to take it however you want, if you want a small elite squad with upgraded roles go for it, if you want a large force of regular grunts, you can asswell, or have a few guys running around building turrets and mechanically fight your way to victory! Oh lord get this game!!!

EDIT- First to paragraphs are OOD, refer to the bottom one for the recommend.
It seems like a fun game if I would actually be able to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play it.
Every single time I fight people, my troops miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack, miss attack.
Then the enemy turn comes around, and they kill my entire army because they seem to miss once every 6 hits, its bloody infuriating and I have restarted 4 times because of it, I have flanked 3 guys around a single enemy, only to miss every single swing and he kills 2 of them.
So ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoyed

UPDATE:
Just went to play another campaign, my archer, who apparently was a poacher and comes with a bow, misses 5 shots IN A ROW on an enemy archer, in which the other archer scores 3 in a row and kills my archer.
I have 2 men around one of their macemen, he blocks 1 shot and the other 3 miss, and he proceeds to score 2 in a row killing one of my men. Next turn I miss both my shots and he kills my other guy.
My last guy is moving up to kill the archer, finally get 2 hits on him, he manages to move away, next turn I am toe to toe with 1 of their guys, I miss both of my shots again, and he hits me twice with both of his and I lost.

EDIT:
I came back to the game, cause it seems really fun and has such a pull. I loaded it up, different strategy, instead of buying the best armor and weapons (which also weighed a lot) I went lower in, medium to light, and its pretty fun, I actually beat the first battle without losing a single guy, and once you overcome the possible hump I had, its a really fun game, changing the review to recommend.
For new players I recommend you not make the same mistake as me, just because you have the money initially doesn't mean you should load up to far, go with what your soldiers can use!
P.S I still recommend you come into the game without previous aggression and a clear mind because the game WILL make you rage when you miss several times only to get 1 shotted... :D

Despite what people say negatively, I thoroughly enjoy this game.
The game is dynamic and anything can happen, leading to fun scenarios and interesting gameplay.
Control of the country is interesting and you can chose to do it all yourself or have a minister do it.

I won't spend time running down the entire list of features as it has been done 100 times before my review alone, not to mention how many times after, but I really recommend this game to anyone, add me if you want to play or talk about it!

Just wish they would fix the Army. A.I........

It's a fun game to start off, but thats about where it ends, it has flaws. For example, how boring it gets. You basically manage the economy forever, with the sole focus on getting constantly re-elected, if an ally or neighbour goes to war and you go to right them the world, including your country goes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy for being at war. Not to mention they will NEVER peace out normally even after the original 2 have peaced.
The combat is very clunky and, I must say just plain annoying to manage, not because its complex or indepth, its just simply annoying. You have cities and military bases around your entire country they you have to individually draw troops from, [Countries like China are... lets not go there.] You can leave the A.I to command you army of course, but they send in single units at a time in a long line that die every time they hit an inch of the enemy territory and are wiped out one by one.
The Economic and country managment part of the game is pretty fun, although the lack of tooltips are sometimes frusterating, it would be nice to know effects or other such anquities if you are new to the game or don't know all the political terms.
All in all, the game starts to get very repetitive, Economy - Elections - Economy - Elections -National disaster, [All the disasters do, you literally throw money at it and the problem dissapears] then maybe - war - [in which you are demonized even for defending an ally country, in which they will never peace out of]
Not to mention! After all the gameplay spoofs, it has DOUBLE DRM, which the Dev's don't care that we don't like it, They do it anyway.
DRM, poor combat, clunky A.I, Boring gameplay after an hour, 4/10
Wait for sale, or do not get.
EDIT:: I also forgot about the crashes, 3 crashes in an hour which is ridiclious to!
