this game set a high water mark for games in general, but also for the Source Engine, the gameplay is fun and un-nerving sometimes and demands team play, I made some of the best friends in my Steam list playing this game way too much, there are still servers active and players, versus is a highly tricky mode to play, this game is superior to L4D2 in some ways, despite being it's predecessor, but I can also recommend the sequel.

the game mechanics are the best for an FPS I have seen since BF2, the action is crazy sometimes, one shot and you're done, great genre, needs more maps from the devs, but they spent alot of time polishing the game after release, so kudos to the NWI team for that, not your COD console game controller FPS
