Good singleplayer and coop experience. Horrible multiplayer experience, matchmaking is a joke, you can lose 10 matches in a row and it still pairs you with significantly more experienced people. Ridiculous effort for a 59.99 eur game. If you can catch this on sale for 20 eur or less it's worth it for the SP campaigns.

I used to play call of duty when the original came out decades ago. It was an even more gritty, realistic and immersive version of the medal of honor series, which were pretty good games in their own right. This franchise should be taught as a case study on what not to do in the video game industry. They strayed to the complete opposite of what made call of duty unique.

DEVELOPERS AND PUBLISHERS NEED TO UNDERSTAND. WE WILL NOT BE FORCED TO DO ANYTHING IN THIS DAY AND AGE. YOU MESS UP. PEOPLE LEAVE FOR ANOTHER GAME THAT TREATS THEIR PLAYER BASE WITH RESPECT.

Fix the UI and I'll fix the review

I would say this is the BEST free to play shooter out there. I usually stay well clear of free to play games however this one has made me rethink that. This game is WAY better than most AAA shooters being rushed unto release these days and for those you usually pay upwards of 60 euros.

This is why you shouldn't buy early access games.

Ok I'm not gonna lie I've had fun in this game. The devs nailed a lot of aspects such as the feel of shooting and the large scale and pure chaos of the game. But considering that they canceled the production of other games and their own singleplayer aspect of the game just to produce this unfinished unpolished untested mess that it currently is, is unacceptable.

I've been waiting for a return to BF1942 for LONG TIME. BFV failed at this. And I was hoping this would be what I was waiting for yet I wonder if the devs even play tested this. On El Alamein the Stuka bomber ALWAYS spawns with 60 health. Aircraft bombs (including the B17) are either glitched or have their damage set to incredibly low values such that a bomb can't even take out a JEEP much less a halftrack or tank. It is like they can't even make their own game.And there are only 2 maps???? BF1942 LAUNCHED WITH 17 MAPS 20 YEARS AGO!!!!!! It is a disgrace to the beauty that was BF1942 and the love that was put into that game.


Another issue with BF1942 portal is that on the original you could take out enemy aircraft with a BAR or any small arms for that matter. Here they don't even appear to damage it. Again another detail that just makes this look like a free to play game emulating BF1942

I have HUGE doubts that any of this will be fixed since now they are gonna focus on the bugs and all the crap that should have been done by now and so my guess is BF1942 PORTAL is gonna be thrown all the way back on their crappy little TO-DO list.

So do NOT buy this if you are hoping to see a proper enjoyable return to Battlefield 1942

Ok so a new update just rolled out and now I can't look left or right. DEVs sure keep outdoing themselves!

I have been waiting for a game like this for a long time! The concept of merging RTS with FPS is amazing and pretty much non existent anywhere else in the industry. The only thing that I wish the devs would work on is the AI and the clunkyness of the animations. Great Concept just needs a bit more work! Keep it up please!
