A great game with some issues. The performance at release has been a big point of contention, with the newest patch performace has seen a decent boost but perhaps not big enough for some. The microtransactions are worthless and not worth mentioning.
As for the game itself it´s good. It´s essentially Dragons dogma again but with some changes. There are less equipment options(gloves and boots are gone), with gear having less stats like, "+2 strenght", the back gear is almost useless since the immunity stats are almost nonexistent, rings are also less varied and don´t have specific ability enhancers like in dark arisen so you most likely will just go for strenght/magic and stamina/weight.
The world is way bigger than dark arisen and a bit more varied but not much. It´s mostly green rocky hills. Beutiful but it could get tireing after a while. The story is hidden in the side quests and while interesting the overall plot and lore from the franchice gets a bit sidelined and not really fleshed out, will have to do your own digging for that one.
It may sound negative but the core of the series is still intact which is the immersion and sense of exploration of a living medieval fantasy land with fun combat and job vocations. I will thumb it up because I had a ton of fun despite my nitpicking, for anyone else I would say wait for a sale but don´t overlook it theres a good game here that deserves to be experienced.
