First let me state that I'm not a hardcore strategy player. Looking at my playtime with many in the genre will show that. I do though enjoy Triumph Studios games immensely!

Age of Wonders Planetfall is another outstanding addition to their library. Coming from Age of Wonders 3, I had very high expectations and hope for this game when released. ( Preordered Premium Edition). Those expectations have been achieved and then some.

There has been two updates so far since release that have cleared many of the minor bugs ( very few at release) and balanced the game out better. Is it still needing tweaks? Yes. Are they major? No where near IMO.

The campaign (tutorial) is way better than what AOW 3 had. It is more interesting and gives you the opportunity to play the 6 different Factions (classes) available so far. Gives you various victory conditions so you can try out different strategies on each map. Some do not give options but most do. The only thing is that it will take you time to identify and understand the research trees and the effects they have during gameplay. I'm at 65hrs game time and still learning as I go.

Each faction has the same basic city building and progression, but with added differences for each faction. They "DO NOT" play the same. Weapons, buffs, weapon and character mods do have influence on the grand scheme.

The UI takes a bit to get the hang of, but is very informative and serves it purpose well. The map has a lot of information on it also and is easy enough to scan over and explain things in different sectors that have been uncovered from the fog of war. Various structures can grant benefits in different ways. Either for city production or troop buffs.

One of the BIGGEST PRO'S to me is the AI. If you play mainly against the AI in single player or co-op you will see that they put up a very good fight. No they are not perfect, but are one of the best I've played against even on easy. I still haven't tried bumping it up yet.

I've played both campaign solo and co-op against AI with a friend with no connection issues. Very easy finding saved multiplayer games in menu. Graphics are clean and more than adequate. I play on a gaming laptop (1050ti) and almost can run it maxed with very little frame drop.

The devs have been addressing all issues that players have brought to their attention about game balancing and bug issues and are very informative of their updates. I can't recommend this game enough.

Farm Together is a game that follows the basic Farmville style accept with no microtransactions at all, and none of waiting for 10 days for something to finish.

Since I've purchased the game the devs have added so much more content. More animals, trees, crops, flowers and decorations. They just recently added houses to the game and what a terrific addition. You can enter each house and decorate the inside. I'm sure they will also be building upon this aspect of the game. Such as more items to decorate with.

I also enjoy the online aspect. You can set your preferences on to how much actions visitors to your farm can preform. Visiting other farms can help level up your character which in turn helps unlock things to customize your character ( outfits, hair, emotes, and the tractor you use). Your Farm also levels up to unlock all items that can be used on farm. Everything on the farm also levels up to further unlock items.

There's quests to earn medals. Once your houses are built there's small quest like things to do in your home( cooking, painting and piano playing as of right now) that earns tickets for furniture and decor items.

I can't say enough about how much I enjoy playing this game when I want to relax and just chill. Having friends to play with helps, but is not necessary to enjoy it.

It can get overwhelming the larger your farm gets, but I don't have any issues with that personally. There is quite a lot of area to grow your farm.

If you enjoy farming games, and don't want to deal with heavy simulation style gameplay, then this is for you. I highly recommend it. It has only ♥♥♥♥♥♥ better with every update.

Wanted to come back and put some more on my review. The devs for this game have done nothing but improve, add, and bug fix this game to perfection. Just buy the game and support these devs because they care about their game as much as they do their community!

Yonder CCC is one of those games were either you'll love the simplicity of the gameplay, or hate it. I originally purchased a copy for my wife and watched her play it and found it to be quite enjoyable. Next day I got a copy for myself (both purchases were during a sale).

It follows the basic adventure/open world formula. Fetch quests, craft items, very basic farming aspect, trading and building. The later being very limited in overall progression. If your big into upgrading farms and buildings you will be disappointed. I enjoy doing that, but found that playing a game without those things to be a nice change of pace.

The world you explore is vibrant in color, unique animals, foilage, and hidden areas to explore. What I enjoyed most though was not having to fight or kill anything. There's plenty of games out there that do that, so like I said before it was a nice change. Many might find this boring and I understand those feelings. This is a game IMO to play casually and just enjoy the ambience of the world.

I still recommend this game hgihly for what it offers. Just know going in what to expect and you will have fun. I don't like judging games against others in it's genre. All games offer different gameplay and should be judged on their own merits.

FANTASTIC experience so far!

With only a couple of hours in so far, I normally wait on reviewing a game. I have to though for HOB because it deserves to be recommended. If you enjoy puzzle/platforming adventures with a little combat then here is your new addiction.

PROS:

Wonderful graphics that fit the enviroments and characters well.
Responsive controls (using 360 controller)
Camera is spot on with movement (which is a huge deal for me)
Exploring is rewarded
Combat is smooth and fluent
Runs well on my aging gaming laptop.
Save points are often enough to keep from having to replay areas to much

CONS:

Had it freeze one time which caused a reboot, but save was ok
So far enemies are not to difficult (could change deeper in)

I highly recommend HOB if you have any intrest in buying. Looking forward to more and hope RUNIC might down the road throw some DLC at us.

Why is this game still available on Steam June of this year (2017), will be 3 years I've had this game and still waiting for first sign of activity from the Dev. "STAY AWAY" from this. I believe it is dead in the water.

After one hour of enjoying the free weekend offer, the game was permenately added to my library. The sheer amount off gameplay options, character choices, weapons, and buffs and much more is amazing. Can't say enough how much "FUN" I've had playing this game. For me that's what counts the most (FUN FACTOR)!

Content is still lacking some and the usual growing pain bugs can occur, but my experience has been pretty solid and mostly bug free (nothing game breaking). I have not tried multiplayer as of yet, so can't comment on that. Game has huge amount of potential and I believe the developer Matt is staying on top of things and doing the best he can as a one man team.

Support the game. The developer. Just buy the damn thing and enjoy it. I will be and hope to see it become all that I think it can.

Renowned Explorers is a unique TBS that has a lot of replay value. One the best features IMO is that you can complete each stage of your expedition in about 15 to 30 mins depending on your choices. It has enough depth to keep you occupied with it's story as well as deciding how you want to equip, attack, and build your characters. It's not to in depth, but thats okay.

With quite a few different locations and characters to choose from. Developers that have been very active and have added to the game on a regular basis, to me it's an easy recommendation.

My new addiction! The simple look to this game only hides the amazing gameplay. I'm not the best roguelike player, but I do enjoy the challenge of getting that one run that just gets you past the best you've done so far. Tallowmere is a steal for the price and the replay value is unlimited. Getting all the gear that makes you fell unstoppable, until you get to cocky and find out just how fast you can die if you let it get to your head.

The shield is your friend. Abuse it as much as possible.

Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.

I rarely write reviews unless I feel the game deserves recognition for being a complete pleasure to play. I can whole heartedly recommend this game to all who are thinking about purchasing it. A fantastic ride through and through with plenty of side quests, challeneges, and just a plain and simple great story and characters. By far my all-time favorite game in this Zombie infested genre.

It blends all it's differnet parts together in a way that allows you to go about your missions as you see fit to your play style. Hats off to Techland for getting it right this time around. High hopes for a sequel.

Really enjoyed this game. Very well put together story and gameplay. though nothing groundbreakingly new, was still solid and fun. I would not recommend paying full price for it, but if you can find it for $19.99 or less I would definitely recommend picking it up. Like many have said, it follows the same kind of gameplay as LA Noire, which if you liked then this should be a good choice for you.
