Just wanted to give a positive review for this game because as the developers have explained, they had to stop development for awhile do to other obligations. They could have abandoned this all together, but now they are back adding new features and upgrading the game in many areas.

I haven’t put much time in because I too thought it was abandoned. Recently loaded it back up and must say that I like what they have done so far, and I’m looking forward to the Re-release in December.

Game is not dead. Thank you to the devs for coming back and continuing to add to this project.

Purchased this game on sale which I would recommend.

This is not a AAA game and it shows in areas such as graphics. Honestly though they are descent and do not take away from the overall experience. Voice acting is good and I did not skip any dialogue.

The best part to me of the game is the story. If you have any knowledge of the Terminator movies then you will definitely enjoy how they intertwined the movies with the game. This kept me engaged and interested to see how it turned out. A+

The gameplay consists of starting out as a soldier in the resistance whose unit has been destroyed and you try to reconnect with them. You are pretty weak to start out and have to depend on a bit of stealth early on to survive. Stealth is an option throughout the game, but in most areas it is not possible to go completely that way. There’s also lock picking and hacking, which you can upgrade along with other skills.

The weapons start out weak but as with most games in this genre you will slowly get better weapons which can be upgraded. By end game your a bit op, but I felt like I earned it by then. You will be doing a lot of looting to find resources to purchase supplies as well as looting dead enemies for weapon components for upgrades. You also can craft supplies using tables spread out through the game.

The gameplay is linear but you can wander around a little to explore areas for loot. I did all but one side quest which I missed early on in the game. They do add to the story and piece together some of the people stories you will meet.

Took me around 17 hours to complete the main game. Which I felt was good. It didn’t overstay it welcome. I’m still playing the DLC story, but it has received some good reviews and I’m looking forward to finishing it.

If you enjoy FPS games, I would say you should enjoy this game.

I have now played halfway through DLC missions and it is a bit more dialog heavy as other reviewers have stated. It still is just more of the same gameplay but with more story elements which I enjoyed with the main game. Very good though!

I purchased this at initial release. At the early stages it definitely lacked much of what you would expect from a game based in this genre.

Fast forward to now and it has grown into a excellent TBS. It has the X-Com feel already. I have seen the developer listen to feedback and stay on top of issues. Still updating and adding much needed features, and tweaking others to for better use.

For the asking price you can't go wrong. A lot of the early reviews were right, but it no longer pertains to where this is now in development.

Whole heartedly recommend!

There's something about this game that keeps me coming back for more. It could be a developer that absolutely love's their creation and updates it regularly and adds excellent content, as well as new DLC's to keep the game fresh. It could also be a game that is very fun to play and experience.

I nominated for Labor of Love Award during 2023 Autumn Sale as it well deserves it. Highly recommend if you have any interest in giving it a go!

Came across this gem by pure luck. It delivers on a great driving experience that offers many different choices of vehicles, jobs, and upgrades.

Choose what your in the mood for and it's there to experience. You start off with basic starter class vehicles. As you earn money and levels, better upgraded vehicles become available.

There are servers to join if you wish to drive around with other players (as of now they are not alot of players, but those who are there are mostly helpful if you have questions). I've enjoyed my time on them.

With it being EA there are still so many things that can be added and improved. There are some graphical bugs, but they don't take away from the fun. If anything they are add humor.

I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a driving game that offers many different options to try as well as master. Terrific game. Well worth the price tag!

I would rather spend the $2.99 on a Taco Bell burrito and spend the 1.7hrs I wasted on this boring trash, on the the toilet with diarrhea.

Thankfully it didn't cost me anything!

Great game to just chill with. Challenging, but in a fun way. Highly recommend.

Grey Block has a very well done story that to me is the only saving grace to this game. I'm a big stealth genre fan and this is the main feature of the game besides the few hacking puzzles. I haven't gotten to far into the game (1.4 hrs), but I believe that is were I will leave it. the reason being:

1. The camera is just to janky for a stealth based game. Your character just doesn't feel right when controlling him. You will run into the other character in the game and not be able to see sometimes.

2. The character animations turn me off. I understand it's a Indie title, but I just lose interest in what they are saying do to the poor facial animations. Plus they are rather ugly!

3. The overall gameplay just doesn't feel comfortable for what you a trying to do. To many times I thought I had moved far enough away from any security only to have them pop up outta what seemed like nowhere to knock me out.

So to put it simply, I don't believe the game is worth the $19.99 price tag it carries. I could over look some of these issues if it was more like $9.99. For what they are asking I would say wait for a sale if you are interested in checking out Grey Block.

I have enjoyed my time so far with Winter Ember. (13 hrs at the moment) Is the game perfect? No. Is it a fun stealth based game with a descent story? Yes. It can be a bit janky at times, but overall I haven't had many issues during my playtime. I have had only one time were I got stuck in limbo and had to restart, but lost only minimal progress.

I'm not going to say that this is a must buy for fans of stealth based games, but I think it definitely deserves to be played if you are thinking about it.

The story is descent and is played out in cut scenes that are well done. The voice overs are good. Nothing made me want to mute them.

Besides the main story there are of course many side quests to do. Most are enjoyable and have branching stories that keep them from being repetitive for the most part.

There are plenty of buildings, houses, and other places to sneak into and help yourself to the goodies you find. Which include blueprints for the different arrows recipes. Without those you can't make certain upgrades. Some have guards or enemies, but many do not. Finding the way into these places is the trick. This brings in the bow and the different arrows you craft to get access to different areas as well as secret passages. Of course you can use the bow in combat also.

Which brings us to the weakest part of the game in my opinion. Weapons are few and include the bow, daggers and a sword. The sword is your main weapon. Which you can parry incoming attacks (quite easily) stunning the enemy. Making them easy to dispatch. Once killed they stay dead were they lie the rest of the game. If you sneak up and knock them out they will be awake if you comeback to that area at a later time. Taking a non lethal approach definitely raises the difficulty. It all works, but it lacks in creativity. I'm playing on normal difficulty for this review.

The bug issues that have been mentioned by many others, I have been lucky to not have experienced.

I definitely feel the game is worth playing. Just don't come in expecting a masterpiece.
