It may have been a troubled start, but update after update, the joy of city building is returned to SC2.

I'm a long time Total War fan and was a Games Workshop fan when I was younger.

Let me say that this is a review of the base game, and the game is....really rather good. I'd rank it as one of the strongest Total War games and it is hands down the best Warhammer video game to date. If you enjoy either, I would like to think you would get a lot of enjoyment out of this and could easily rack up hundreds of hours of gameplay.

• The base game contains four playable factions - the Empire, Dwarfs, Vampire Counts & Green Skins.
• All have a completely unique strategic and tactical play style, plenty of units and all four give the game really good re-playability.
• Each faction's art and models are beautifully re-created here and the Warhammer world is richly created and deep in the lore.
• Gameplay is the enjoyable and again shows why the Total War series is so widely revered.
• Multiplayer Battles, Multiplayer Verses and Co-Op campaigns supported
• Post game support is proving to be very promising with one new character, Wurzag, bringing his own unique flavour to a new Greenskin campaign and Grombrindal, a new Dwarf legendary lord coming in 2017, with the promise of a completely free Faction coming soon, and more besides.

The slight drawbacks for me are that,
• the 4X aspect of the stratgy game has been cut back and is a lot simpler, trade goods are basically meaningless and the strategic element is quite light.
• While battle a.i. is improved to a degree it can still make bad choices and army builds.
• Finally, siege battles, while take place on a spectacular setting are all the same single wall attack which can get repetetive.

Let's be clear, the game is complete and very rich. Much like it's Games Workshop IP counterpart, Dawn of Wars originally being 4 factions was incredibly fun and deep. This game is good fun, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it!

I rarely write reviews, but I'm sat here an hour after completing Life Is Strange, struggling to put words to what I've just experienced. I've been through the ringer.... and I'm still chopping onions.

Truly, Life Is Strange is one of those most special of games, a unique experience that combines a story of depth, complexity, sensitive subject matter and enjoyable gameplay.

This one will stay with me a lot longer than that.
