Best bang for your buck on steam. This is the most memorable game I have played since TES3.

First off... it is not fair for people to label this game "the rainbow six that we have been waiting for" to lure in a purchase. This game is absolutely nothing close to rainbow six/ rogue spear or raven shield. Hell it isn't even close to the original Ghost Recon before it went "future war lame."

This game is essentially an ARMA 3 copy with less material and no vehicles. The movements, peaking around doors, the weapons are all clunky and none of it feels smooth (like the game it looks like - ARMA 3 - which is a good game for a mil sim but not for CQB inside buildings that this game tries to do)... none of them feel close to the smoothness of raven shield, rogue spear, or even COD for that matter.

Never in a rainbow six game have i had corner peaking glitch making it impossible to peak with your gun while going walking around close corners. It quickly snaps you back to an awkward camera angle as you are about to shoot an enemy but now your gun gets put away because you are "too close to the wall." Every game out in 2023 does this... but why do new games suck worse than games 15 years ago? I really can't wrap my head around it. Graphics and all this additional weapons attachments and massive maps... They are all meaningless if the gameplay is bland.

The AI is extremely terrible and the maps are too large. If I wanted sand box I would play ARMA 3. If I want rainbow six I want to stack up outside a building with hostages or an oil facility, museum etc. The 747 map in Ground Branch for example has dozens and dozens of random vehicles everywhere. It looks like a hoarder was storing their junk on the tarmac and just looks annoying as there is no point to now use a sniper rifle.

I found this game turned into a walking simulator by the time I tried the second map where I killed 90% of the enemies and got so bored running around for 10 minutes looking for the last guy I would just look at junk and shoot stuff then suddenly I would be killed by that last guy I forgot I was looking for still..... I think this will be the last early access game i purchase. All the devs had to do was remake rogue spear or raven shield with modern graphics and they would have been able to take my money. But this game is way toooo generic. I would rather just play arma 3 because that is essentially what this game and the clunky controls feel like.

I get this is early access and i only played 1 hr but i had to breakup with this game. It isn't ready or not it's me.

The bad for me:

I absolutely hate first person shooters that make you run around a base. You wait through an annoying load screen just to walk VERY SLOWLY to the spot where you get loadouts, shooting range, killhouse etc. Games that bugged me about this were arma 3, wolfenstein, mass effect. I prefer the old school rainbow six way of loading maps and selecting your arsenal. More streamlined for the user and less time spent on loading screens.

I hate that the default move speed is too slow and stealth walking is about the speed of crouch walking. I had to go on youtube to figure out there was still another run button that was faster only it had to be mapped over the other slower run key. Still, it is still slow!

The squad you have blocks every exit point when you enter small rooms causing you to not want to bring them along with you into small rooms and you decide to peak behind less boxes etc. The button to have your squad fall in is also not used to have them stop and wait. Maybe i should have delved into the controls in options more to see if i just had to figure out what key it was.

Default keys in any fps that uses the middle mouse button on the scroll wheel is dumb as your hand always ends up hitting the scroller.

When fighting unarmed enemies you can take 3 shots center of mass on an unarmoured nemy with a 5.56 rifle only to have him turn around and wound you with a pistol. That happened throughout my gameplay experience causing me to not think i suck at the game but that it wasn't as realistic as i was hoping it to be.

The way they made the gun view it took up so much of the screen you could barely see enemies. I felt like you were looking down a telescope without even being zoomed in. The enemies therefore appeared small even at close range as if your gun had a stand out of 6 feet. I don't know how to explain it but the acquisition of targets felt terrible for that reason.

Upon breaching doors the slow speed of movement makes clearing a room feel like a snail when really it is a rush to get 6 guys in a door when you know enemies will be looking at thr door after the breach.

In general the shooting and movement of the character were the worst parts for me. I am more into a rainbow six ravenshield and rogue spear movement that was smooth for its time.

I picked this game over ground branch because people said it was more polished. I see people love it but its too slow for me even compared to swat 4 which was a favourite of mine (in case people think i only want another classical rainbow six style game in 2023/2024).

The good: the maps looked beautiful 10/10. The models and weapons all looked amazing too. If the game movements and aiming view (b4 sooming in) stays similar to how this game is now i would not repurchase this game on release. If they do make the changes i want i would buybit but i see this as highly doubtful.

Now i will try ground branch which i argue is this games competitor. If both games were good i would want to own both. However, like ready or not not feeling close enough to swat 4, i feel like ground branch will not be as great as the original rainbow six series that turned to garbage after raven shield. Why do new games feel so generic and boring now?

This game just drags on and on. I checked out mentally after the first 30 minutes but kept playing because I am a completionist. But I really don't think I want to finish this one after 8 hours into it because I feel like you just run in endless circles wasting time I could be spending on other more enjoyable games. I wish I never bought it at all. They definitely stole my money by good marketing but a blah game. Would not purchase any sequels or expansions at all if there are any in the future.

I thought Men of War Assault Squad 2 was 100x better than this game. If I paid full price for COH2 rather than get it on sale I would have returned it. Pretty repetitive and boring. If they made a COH3 in the future I would not buy it either. I barely played this garbage game. You know what.. I 100% wish I returned it when the thought popped up in my mind. Zero replay value and story and gameplay was garbage too.

I am enjoying the base game (with Morrowind) but I wish I bought the entire package with the base game, Elsweyr and Summerset. I thought after buying the base game they would have a combo sale that came with Elsweyr and Summerset in case you had wished you went that route instead. But they don't have that as an option and I don't intend to pay for everything separately nor do I want to "re-buy" the base game with the other chapters. I am a bit of a cheapo so until there is a better deal where Summerset comes with Elsweyr for the price of the full deal package minus $12 for the base version I already bought I am just going to hold off on my purchase. I thought the company would real you in with a cheap base game and then sell Elsweyr and Summerset as a package but I am wrong. I am really not interested in buying everything separately. Possible sale at Christmas?

Gave this game a negative because of the auto save function not working properly and continued losing my progress. I returned the game and repurchased a year later so see if the bug was fixed. Looks like they fixed it and the game gets better after the first 2 levels. Would probably purchase future doom titles now.

This game is nothing but a copy of Men at War Assault Squad 2 with worse graphics, camera angles, sound, and controls. The guns in crates do not say what ammo they use. You have to walk up to signs and press E to read them which often give useless info. The game looks nothing like the pictures on the Foxhole store page and I am running a GTX 1080ti. The only thing that the developers did to market this game as being different from Men at War Assault Squad 2 was by introducing the concept that the war continually goes on even when you log off. I found that aspect of the game a reason to give it a try but it was not enough of a reason to keep it in my steam library. I was not impressed at all but maybe I am sick of cookie cutter games being rebranded as something new. I requested a refund after 70 minutes.

Played civ 5 to see if i liked civ as much as i did in the past. I 4got how fun the game was but civ 5 was pretty easy. So i buy civ 6 platinum and hated every possible thing about it. It felt like a chore to play and it looked like a mobile phone game. Even for 17$ with all the expansions i knew i wouldnt play a minute more nor ever enjoy it.. I realized i had civ 4 with expansions i bought many years ago but never played the expansions. I returned civ 6 after 40 mins of gameplay and installed beyond the sword expansion and civ 4. Omg... i find this version harder and more addicting than civ 5 or 6. Even the voice acting was amazing. I like the fact that you dont have to spend too long micromanaging like in civ 6. And your workers dont disappear. Civ 6 was such a mess players are going back to civ 4 and 5! If civ 7 isnt more like civ 4/5 with better graphics i won't buy it and keep playing civ 4 and exploring mods. The developers for civ 6 killed the fluidity of the game. And civ 5 was lacking content (unit variety) seen in civ 4.
