"No one plays it." Again, the player numbers skyrocketed and stayed at a very respectable level compared to what they were before f2p: ~500 avg → 13k avg → 3k avg. That's huge for something as hardcore as Quake.

Well, I'm 31. And I know a thing or two about the history of Quake too.
You can buy the game for $30 and have all the champs unlocked. That's not too much for a game that a quaker will sink hundreds of ours in. The lootboxes are just cosmetics.

My argument abour Rapha (and many other pros) is that he's good because he's put ten times more time into Quake games than you and me. He knows what feels like Quake better than you and me. So while his opinion isn't law, it's way more grounded than yours or mine.
