This game is a lot of fun - When it works. It doesn't seem that there is anough players yet. I can't seem to find any matches to join, When I do get a match, it is a lot of fun, but those actual playing sessions are few and far between. Also get an error when the game starts up that it couldn't reach the server, and then the game just exits. I have to reload it a couple of times before it "finds" the server. The menu is also a bit silly. If you have to visit forums and Google to find out where to click to access your challenges or loot crates, then the interface needs some work. Like I said the game is alot of fun, when it works.

What can I say about this game? Just that it is the best game ever. You can tame and ride dinosaurs!!!

I've had this game for the past couple of years and the progress made throughout development was excellent. Lots of content was added and a lot of performance issues were fixed. I have played over 1200 hours and still have not done everything there is to do. A little of my experiences so far:

I wake up in an unknown land with a weird implant in my arm. As the world comes into focus, I realise that I am not in my own time anymore. Somehow, I was transported to a land where time seems to have reversed. I look around to take in my surroundings. I am on a beach. There are these big birds walking around making cute sounds. What are they? I get closer. They are Dodos. They are supposed to be extinct. Suddenly the earth starts shaking. I turn around and I see a Triceratops right behind me! What the hell? Run away! Luckily it is not hostile. O crap, I am very hungry. What can I eat? Aah, I can pick berries from the bushes and eat those. There are these small little things coming to look at me. What are they? Compies? They are soo cute? Here comes another one. And another... o Crap! They are eating me alive!!!

I wake up in swamp area. This looks interesting. I'm dead. Eaten by a Titan Boa.

I awake again, staring up at a Brontosaurus towering above me while the ground shakes. This is awesome.

Eventually I start making sense of my surroundings and start harvesting materials. Build a few tools, build a bow and arrow, start hunting. I build a small base and figure out how to tame my first dino. Build a saddle and start riding it. I work my way up in the world and start taming bigger dino's. Build better tools, build guns, tranq darts, armor. I tame flying mounts and rule the skies. I tame a T-Rex. I investigate the obelisks and transfer to another world! I tame a Griffin. I steel a Wyvern egg. I hatch the egg and feed the baby untill it is a fully grown. Now I rule the skies and breath fire on my foes! Then I accidentally fly into the Lava of an ative volcano. We both die... :(

This game is alot of fun. Much easier when you play with someone else, but also very enjoyable when playing solo. There are a lot of fun mods from the community workshop which adds new dimensions to play. Find a nice server, get to know the people, tame a shark and have fun!

This game used to be so fun a year or so ago. I used to spend days on end playing Rust and it was fun to hunt, build your base, scavenge for parts and defend your base. With the recent changes made to the game, it is extremely difficult to play as a casual player. if you don't play with friends, you won't make it. This new decay system the developers implimented on the buildings is very harsh. Someone will have to spend alot of time just harvesting stone, wood, metal frags in order for you base to be "fed" the items it needs to not decay. This game is so unrewarding at this time, I gave up on playing it. You grind for hours and hours to set up a base and gather some scrap to research items, only to be shot and killed by a group of other players. Then you have to start from scratch again. So it feels like you are grinding for hours on end just to give stuff to other players. This game is not suitable for single players and casual players anymore. If you want to shoot people and have fun, play Counterstrike. If you want to play a great survival game where your base and hard-earned loot does not disappear with every update, then play ARK.

Best. Movie. EVER! Epic.
