Early Access Review
It's real good. Has some unique stuff for the genre. The in-game achievements are tied to unlock progress and push you toward different build/strategies. Money is also health, so leads to lots of interesting decisions (like risking all your health for a crazy upgrade)

Large variety of high tier towers and tower abilities, many heroes to choose from that can be leveled up and controlled in game, 2 spells that can be leveled up and used in game on cooldown, varied map environments, usable map elements, diverse enemies and wave combinations cause interesting problems to be solved. Has a great tutorial, excellent difficulty curve, probably easily beatable normal mode for veterans, but there are two additional modes and diffculties to play each map, which are not just rehashes of the same enemies with more health, but actually finely tuned scenarios with some towers locked, and new enemies/waves, which means a specific strategy must be used, which in turn teaches you new strategies to be applied in other levels. I started on tower defense games in the late 90's when they were all browser/flash based. I've been hooked since, playing nearly evey tower defense game available. I think I own about 30 on steam alone. This is my all time favorite.

I don't hold any particular affinity for war based games, but the mechanics are solid. Being able to manually aim and/or take control of cetain towers adds a lot of min-maxxing potential.

Travel southwest from the starting area. Find the man's house with the cross on top. There are thousands of cheesewheels in his basement. Carry the cheese to the deep north, near Windhelm. Build a great wall of cheese. Defend Skyrim from the onslaught of draugr using narry but the stench of eidar.

If you're a fan of tower defense games then you should definitely play this one. It's not necessary to play OMD1 first.

I was attracted by the graphics and price, but after going through about 20 doors fighting rats & bats I became bored.

Wow, talk about unrealistic. Evolution, pfffft. Stil had a tremendous amount of fun, despite this game's obviously flawed title. Reminiscient of Aliens vs. Predator 2, you can be a marine with a gun, if you want, or you can be an alien and slide along the wall reciting poetry in Jeff Goldblum's voice. I don't really care how you play this gam. Use your best judgment.
