DO NOT BUY!!!
i bought this and was enjoying it until i reached the nursery. you are in the cellar and the only way out is a door that says unlocked when scanned but doesnt allow you to exit.
i searched the web as you do for this and apparently it is a know glitch and has been apparent since the games launch on wii u in 2011.
here we are in 2015 and dont tell me STEAM were unaware of this, and the glitch is still not fixed or at least the fix hasnt crossed over to PC yet.

apparently if you play for more than 2Hrs you will not be entitled to a refund according to STEAM.
disgusting imho when something is so clearly flawed .
