I am saddened that I have to say I can't recommend this game. There is so much I like about it - from the efforts to make it realistic as possible, to the characters and story (unique setting compared to other games which reuse same wars, settings, etc).

Unfortunatly this game is buggy to the point that I can't trust any game mechanics. Sometimes sneaking works, sometimes not. Sometimes combat works, sometimes not. You get my point. Patch 1.4 just came out and it has crippled the Main Quest for everyone so the game is literally unbeatable until they hot fix it.

If this game was polished , or even patched in a year, it would be amazing. As it stands now is not worth your money.

Fun - though can be overly complex unless you watch some YouTube tutorials. Wish there was an 'assist' mode for when your too lazy to do real calculations

Fun game - story kinda weak but gives enough purpose to keep plot moving ahead. Love going back for the challenges. Worth it for ~$10 - should get you over 20+ hours of gameplay (less if you dont do the challenges)

For $2, I have gotten over 100+ hours out of this game. Well balanced, fun, and good community!

With 25 hours into this game, I find it difficult to recommend in its current state. The single player experience is barebones and really just a training ground for the Multiplayer experience.

If you are playing this locally with a buddy, then GET THIS GAME. Controls are tight as Sh*t, matches are fun, and enough settings to tweak to keep things lively.
If you are playing this online, DO NOT get this game. Nidhogg has issues finding you anyone to play, and if you are lucky enough to get paired with someone after a 10 minute wait, theres a 50-50 chance the connection will be too laggy to play.

Its sad that a game geared for multiplayer implemented such a poor online experience, killing its customer base.

While I understand this game is meant to be a satrical jab at the video game genre (and DLC in particular) the jokes arent that funny. And for a game you can beat in 15-20 minutes, I'd hope for a few more laughs than I had while playing this game.
