Starbound is a truly fantastic game, I've put a ridiculous amount of hours into it due to the many worlds you can explore, fun RNG side-quests to do, loads of sandbox building to ensure as a player you can make your own colonies full of various little interesting aliens, and build galleries of excavated fossils, trophies and mannequins decked with rare clothing to show off to friends. The farming mechanic works pretty well. The combat is fast-paced and keeps the action going, with some boss fights being particularly challenging to the unprepared. The new Bounty Hunter update added many more hours of content for people coming back to the game in the last month as well.
